A Fan's Guide to the National Team Identification Series
11U, 14U & Women's Divisions • September 5-8 • Cary, N.C.
The 2013 USA Baseball National Team Identification Series (NTIS) will consist of four separate age groups -- 17U, 16U, 14U, 11U, in addition to a women's division. All four age groups, represent 16 regions from across the United States. Players are competing for a spot at one of USA Baseball National Team Trials or National Team Development Program. USA Baseball will name a minimum of eight players to the 2014 18U National Team Trials; a minimum of eight players to the 2014 17U National Team Development Program (17U NTDP); and a minimum of 16 players to the 2014 15U National Team Trials; a minimum of 16 players to the 2014 12U National Team Trials.
As the National Governing Body for baseball in the United States, USA Baseball in partnership with The National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS), has developed and launched "Fundamentals of Coaching Baseball," the latest online sport-specific course in its Coaches Education Program. The course is now available online at www.nfhslearn.com. USA Baseball is recommending that all coaches participating in its events use the course as a resource to improve their skills. Course completion for 2013 events is encouraged but not required.
In addition to the "Fundamentals of Coaching Baseball", USA Baseball would also like to recommend several other NFHS resources for coaches and fans. "A Guide to Heat Acclimatization and Heat Illness Prevention", "Creating a Safe and Respectful Environment", "The Role of Parents in Sports" and "Sportsmanship" are courses that can assist in creating a positive environment for your team at USA Baseball events and beyond. All of these courses are completely free of charge and can also be found at www.nfhslearn.com.

In order to get players and families' home, the final game will begin no later 1:30pm on Sunday, September 8.

From 3pm-6pm on Thursday, September 5, ALL players need to report to National Training Complex to check in with their regional director to receive jersey and other apparel provided by USA Baseball. Please notify your regional director, if your travel schedule does not permit your attendance.
Players who miss general registration will register with their team contact following the Symposium at the Embassy Suites in Cary.
Tickets can be purchased on-site, at the National Training Complex. Weekly passes will be available for purchase on Thursday, September 5 both at the National Training Complex and the Embassy Suites during the NTIS Symposium. Cash or credit cards are accepted. USA Baseball accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover Card.

Tournament Pass - $25
Kids under 12 will be admitted at no cost.
As official event participants, players and coaches will be admitted free of charge.
Fans can reenter the National Training complex by showing their daily pass wristband or tournament pass.
On Thursday, September 5, USA Baseball will be hosting its annual NTIS symposium at the Embassy Suites in Cary, located at 201 Harrison Oaks Boulevard; Cary, NC 27513. From 7:00pm-8:40pm, players will hear from speakers on various topics related the future success of your baseball career. We encourage all players and families members to attend as it provides great information and insight, in addition to serving as a kick-off to the NTIS.

Individual and team photos will be taken on Saturday, September 7 at the National Training Complex. Players need to wear full uniform for pictures.

NTIS Photo/DVD package order forms and payment will be accepted ONLY at the photo station on Saturday, September 7 and at the ticket booth on Sunday, September 8. All other forms need to be sent to USA Baseball using the contact information listed on the bottom of the order form.
The official NTIS E-Program will be available to download on www.usabaseball.com, once it becomes available. Team rosters will be available on-site at the USA Baseball National Training Complex.
On Friday, September 13, the NTIS Selection Show will air live on www.usabaseball.com at 8:00PM EDT. The show will include announcements of the 2014 National Team Trials and Development Program invitees, highlights from the NTIS and interviews with USA Baseball staffers.

Cameras & Video Equipment:
USA Baseball has also adopted the following policy regarding camera lenses (including telephoto and zoom lenses) for any of the organization's events at the USA Baseball National Training Complex. Spectators are not permitted to bring telephoto or zoom camera lenses into the National Training Complex. Cameras may be brought in to the facility so long as they are not accompanied by these types of lenses. Only USA Baseball personnel and accredited members of the media are permitted to have possession of telephoto and zoom lenses. This policy is in place to ensure that all of our players, coaches and fans have a positive experience at our events.

Please be advised that I-540 is a toll road, as of August 1, 2012. There are no toll booths, all tolls are taken electronically and will be billed via mail. If driving a rental vehicle, please inquire about the specific rental company's toll billing procedure.

Prohibited Actions & Items at the NTC:
The following are prohibited in the USA Baseball National Training Complex.
- Outside food, beverage and coolers
- Animals except for service animals
- Alcoholic beverages
- Skateboards, rollerblades and scooters
- Umbrellas are limited to grass seating
Smoking Policy at the NTC:
The USA Baseball National Training Complex is a smoke free facility. Smoking is permitted in the parking lot, outside the NTC gates.
Outside Food and Beverage:
No outside food, beverage or coolers will be permitted.
There is no ATM on-site at the USA Baseball NTC. Refer to the Local Guide for closest banks.
All bags are subject to a bag search upon entering the USA Baseball National Training Complex.
Concessions will be open during the duration of the event.
Lost and Found:
Please check the USA Baseball Team Store or the onsite Town of Cary offices (located inside the First Aid building, on the 1 st base side of the Stadium Field) for any lost items.
A certified athletic trainer will be on site through the entire event. In case of emergency, the closest hospital is Wake Med Cary.
