USA Baseball Alumni Report: Aug. 26
It's been a whirlwind lately for Oakland A's first baseman Jeff Larish (2003 CNT). Larish opened the season with Triple-A Toledo, then got into three games with the Detroit Tigers before being claimed by the A's Aug. 3. Assigned to Sacramento, Larish proceeded to go 10-for-24 with four homers and 15 RBIs in just five games there.

PAQT coaching staff named
USA Baseball named Ernie Young manager of its 2010 Pan American Qualifying Team on Thursday. Young and his staff will lead a U.S. team comprised of players not currently on 40-man Major League rosters in what will serve as the qualifying event for the 2011 Pan American Games baseball tournament and 2011 IBAF Baseball World Cup.
