USA Baseball announced Thursday that it has named Josh Bloom, MD, MPH, CAQSM to its Medical/Safety Advisory Committee. Dr. Bloom is currently a partner physician at Carolina Family Practice and Sports Medicine which has offices across the Triangle-area of N.C.

Cary youth players selected for WCBF

USA Baseball and the Topps Company, the leading creator and marketer of sports cards, today announced an exclusive multi-year licensing deal to make Topps the Official Baseball Card of USA Baseball. 2010 GSA Watch List announced
USA Baseball has announced its preseason 2010 Golden Spikes Award Watch List, the first step toward identifying the top amateur baseball player in the country. Six players are back on the list after appearing as semifinalists in 2010, including Rice third baseman Anthony Rendon, and pitchers Daniel Bibona (UC Irvine), Deck McGuire (Georgia Tech) and Addison Reed (San Diego State).

Breakthrough Series introduced
Major League Baseball has collaborated with USA Baseball to sponsor the inaugural Breakthrough Series at the MLB Urban Youth Academy in Compton, California, during the week of July 21, 2008. Mueller new chair of Medical/Safety
USA Baseball announced Thursday that Dr. Fred Mueller has been named as the Chairman of the organization's prestigious Medical/Safety Advisory Committee. Mueller assumes the leadership of the committee subsequent to the passing of Dr. Barry Goldberg in late September of 2007. Goldberg worked with Yale University and served as the Committee Chair since its inception in 1993.
