Beginning in 2010, USA Baseball will implement a rolling invitation process for the players named to the Women's National Team Trials. Up to 30 players will be identified for the 2010 Women's Trials through a regional tryout process and by recommendations from scouts, college and high school coaches, and the women's baseball community. As players are named to the team, USA Baseball will publicize the announcement(s) through a press release and/or by post to USABaseball.com.

The primary identification vehicle for the 2010 USA Baseball Women's National Team Trials will be the six or seven regional tryouts presented by USA Baseball.

During the two-day tryouts, USA Baseball coaches and Task Force members will evaluate each of the athletes and select a minimum of 30 players to attend the 2010 USA Baseball Women's National Team Trials. At the Women's Trials, players will participate in practices and intrasquad games to compete for one of the final 18 roster spots on the 2010 USA Baseball Women's National Team. In 2010, the Women's National Team will compete in the IBAF's Women's Baseball World Cup from August 12–22 in Venezuela. Additional information regarding the dates and locations of the regional tryouts will be available in the near future.
