About the National Team Championships Florida

The USA Baseball National Team Championships are elite championship events which serve as the primary identification vehicle for players to be considered for the 15U National Team, as well as the 13U/14U Athlete Development Program (ADP) and the 16U and 17U National Team Development Programs (NTDP). Through these events, USA Baseball provides an opportunity for more than 400 teams the chance to showcase their talents against teams from all across the nation and players an opportunity to be selected to represent their country.

The USA Baseball National Team Championships Florida will be held in Palm Beach County at Chevrolet Roger Dean Stadium, the Spring Training home of the Miami Marlins and St. Louis Cardinals, and FITTEAM Ballpark of the Palm Beaches, the Spring Training home of the Houston Astros and Washington Nationals.

Beginning in 2020, USA Baseball will no longer charge processing fees for consumers who make payments using a credit card for its National Team Championships registration. Additionally, USA Baseball's Travel Services department will continue to provide its hotel placement services free of charge for event participants; however, a hotel rebate will no longer be available to teams. 14U National Team Championships

Cost: $1,500 - see the "General Information" section below for deposit requirements. For every two teams an organization registers, a third team will be permitted to attend free of charge.

Eligibility:
Players born May 1, 2005 or later are eligible to compete in the 14U National Team Championships. PLEASE NOTE: Only players born January 1, 2006 or later will be eligible to be selected to the 14U Athlete Development Program. As such, USA Baseball requires that at least six players on each team's roster be born on or after this international age cutoff (2006). There will be no exceptions to this rule in order to maximize the selection pool for national teams.


15U National Team Championships

When: June 22-27, 2020
Cost: $1,500 - see the "General Information" section below for deposit requirements. For every two teams an organization registers, a third team will be permitted to attend free of charge.

Eligibility:
Players born May 1, 2004 or later are eligible to compete in the 15U National Team Championships. PLEASE NOTE: Only players born January 1, 2005 or later will be eligible to be selected to the 15U National Team Trials. As such, USA Baseball requires that at least six players on each team's roster be born on or after this international age cutoff (2005). There will be no exceptions to this rule in order to maximize the selection pool for national teams.


16U National Team Championships

Cost: $1,500 - see the "General Information" section below for deposit requirements. For every two teams an organization registers, a third team will be permitted to attend free of charge.

Eligibility:
Players born May 1, 2003 or later are eligible to compete in the 16U National Team Championships. PLEASE NOTE: Only players born January 1, 2004 or later, and a 2023 graduate will be eligible to be selected to the 16U National Team Development Program. As such, USA Baseball requires that at least six players on each team's roster be born on or after the international age date cutoff (2004). There will be no exceptions to this rule in order to maximize the selection pool for national teams.


17U National Team Championships

When: June 22-27, 2020
Cost: $1,500 - see the "General Information" section below for deposit requirements. For every two teams an organization registers, a third team will be permitted to attend free of charge.

Eligibility:
Players born May 1, 2002 or later are eligible to compete in the 17U National Team Championships. PLEASE NOTE: Only players born January 1, 2003 or later, and a 2022 graduate will be eligible to be selected to the 17U National Team Development Program. As such, USA Baseball requires that at least six players on each team's roster be born on or after the international age date cutoff (2003). There will be no exceptions to this rule in order to maximize the selection pool for national teams.


College Showcase

When: June 17, 2020 (14U & 16U), June 24, 2020 (15U & 17U)
What: The College Showcase is a pro-style workout that will include infield/outfield practice and batting practice on the field. Team USA Task Force will be evaluating, in addition to any college coaches and/or professional scouts that are in attendance.
Where: Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium
Cost: $75 per individual
Eligibility: The College Showcase is open to the first 75 players that register. The eligibility requirements for tournament play apply to the Showcase (14U age requirements still apply for the 14U College Showcase, etc.).


General Information

Location:
The National Team Championships in Florida will be held in Palm Beach County at Chevrolet Roger Dean Stadium, the Spring Training home of the Cardinals and Marlins and FITTEAM Ballpark of the Palm Beaches, the Spring Training home of the Houston Astros and the Washington Nationals.

Roster Limits:
Rosters should include a minimum of 15 players and no more than 25 players.

Schedule:
Teams are guaranteed to play six games at the National Team Championships Florida (weather permitting) and will not play more than nine scheduled games.

Cost:
A $500 deposit is due by March 1, and the remaining team registration fee is due by May 1. Deposits and fees not submitted by the aforementioned due dates will have their tournament invites rescinded due to the number of teams on the waiting list. Accepted team's deposits are not refundable after March 30, and the full payment is not refundable after May 1.

Hotel Information:
USA Baseball Travel Services is the official housing bureau for all USA Baseball tournaments and its service is available at no cost for all event participants. The Travel Services department works directly with local hotel properties surrounding the event to secure special rates and accommodations for our participants and their families. Teams are highly encouraged to use our lodging services when participating in our events.
