CARY, N.C. - Six batters recorded a multi-hit game as Arizona National Baseball Academy used a dominant offensive showing to claim the 2019 10U Futures Championship after defeating Elite Squad, 15-1, at Thomas Brooks Park on Sunday.

The win marked the first 10U Futures Invitational gold medal for Arizona National Baseball Academy.

Braylon Luster earned the win on the mound for Arizona National Baseball Academy (5-0) after striking out eight and allowing just one run in 3.2 innings. Gavin Hickey suffered the loss for Elite Squad (4-1), giving up five runs in 0.2 innings of work.

Ten different Arizona National Baseball Academy batters tallied a hit on the day, led by Dylan Minnatee who went 3-for-3 with a single, a triple and a home run. Minnatee also led his team with three runs scored in the game, while recording three RBIs. Luke Gladchuk and Franklin Miller added three hits apiece for Arizona National Baseball Academy, while Drew Boyd, Luster and Justin Rodrigues picked up two hits. Dylan Fernandez recorded a hit and an RBI to lead the Elite Squad offense. 

Boyd recorded 11 hits throughout the 10U Futures Invitational to lead the tournament. Minnatee led all batters with four home runs and tied Elite Squad's Fernandez for first in RBIs, with eight.

Key Moments:

  • Luke Gladchuk led off the game with a double to right-center and advanced to third on a passed ball before scoring on a sacrifice fly from Nathan Danzeisen. After back-to-back singles from Drew Boyd and Dylan Minnatee, Arizona National Baseball Academy scored its second run of the game as Boyd came home on a wild pitch.
  • Franklin Miller hit an RBI-triple down the left field line to plate Minnatee, before scoring on a single by Braylon Luster in the next at-bat. Daniel Mosier added the final run of the inning with an RBI-single.
  • Following another double by Gladchuk, Minnatee recorded his fourth inside-the-park home run of the tournament on a fly ball to center field that gave Arizona National Baseball Academy a 7-0 edge in the top of the second.
  • Arizona National Baseball Academy hit three consecutive one-out singles from Justin Rodrigues, Gladchuk and Danzeisen to load the bases the top of the fourth. Dylan Blinn hit an RBI-single to bring home Rodrigues before Gladchuk and Danzeisen scored thanks to an Elite Squad error.
  • Minnatee continued the inning with an RBI-triple to left-center before Arizona National Baseball Academy produced four more runs on four singles and a double to extend the lead to 15-0.
  • Elite Squad scored its lone run of the game in the home half of the fourth as Dylan Fernandez hit an RBI-triple down the left field line to plate Allan Hernandez.

2019 10U Futures Invitational Wraps Up

Arizona National Baseball Academy claimed the 2019 10U Futures Championship with a dominant offensive performance as six batters recorded a multi-hit game to defeat Elite Squad, 15-1, at Thomas Brooks Park on Sunday. Fans can read the full recap of the game here.

Top Tier Americans used a solid outing from starting pitcher Jake Brande and a five-run fifth inning to defeat Twelve Baseball in the bronze medal game on Sunday. Read the full recap here.

Kangaroo Court 1, Chino Hills Thunder 3

Chino Hills Thunder used a three-run fourth inning to defeat Kangaroo Court, 3-1, on the final day of the 2019 10U Futures Invitational at Thomas Brooks Park in Cary, N.C.

Kangaroo Court jumped out to an early lead in the top of the second as Tyson Lake hit an RBI-single through the right side. The Chino Hills Thunder responded in the bottom of the fourth as Ace Tovares tied the game with an RBI-groundout. Dylan Seward gave the Chino Hills Thunder the lead on an RBI-single, before he stole second and third on back-to-back pitches. Seward stole home on the next pitch to give his team the 3-1 victory.

Brock Hickey (1-0) struck out five and allowed just one run in four innings to earn the win on the mound for Chino Hills Thunder, while Payne Cearnal (0-1) suffered the loss for Kangaroo Court.

Chino Hills Thunder wrapped up the tournament with a 3-2 record, while Kangaroo Court dropped to 2-3.

Parker Jets 15, Dream Chasers 5

The Parker Jets closed the 2019 10U Futures Invitational with a strong offensive showing to top the Dream Chasers, 15-5, on Sunday at Thomas Brooks Park in Cary, N.C.

The Parker Jets took an early lead and never looked back after scoring a pair of runs on a RBI-single from Travis Varela and an RBI-walk from Will Hayes to take a 2-0 lead. The Parker Jets kept the bats hot in second and third innings to take a commanding 7-0 lead. The Dream Chasers cut into the deficit in the fourth run on an RBI-single, before adding three more runs in the home half of the fifth and a run in the sixth. The five runs weren't enough, however, as the Parker Jets added three runs in the fifth inning and five runs in the sixth to earn the 15-5 win.

Gavin LeMonds (1-0) earned the win for the Parker Jets after striking out four and allowing just on run in four innings on the mound. Shea Corona (0-1) was tagged with the loss for the Dream Chasers.

The Parker Jets finished the 2019 10U Futures Invitational with a 1-3-1 record, while the Dream Chasers dropped to 1-4.

Hooks Baseball 6, Nationals Showcase 7

Down to its last three outs, Nationals Showcase used a three-run sixth inning to complete a come-from-behind victory over Hooks Baseball, 7-6, on Sunday at Thomas Brooks Park in Cary, N.C.

Nationals Showcase jumped out to an early lead in the bottom of the second after scoring two runs on a pair of RBI-singles from Cameron Layfield and Nicky Bruno. Hooks Baseball responded with a four-run third inning, highlighted by an RBI-triple from Dax Pharris. Hooks Baseball extended the lead to 5-2 in the top of the fourth as Hudson Griffin hit a single through the left side to plate Jacob Lessman. The two teams traded runs in their next two at-bats, giving Hooks Baseball a 6-4 lead heading into the final half inning. Nationals Showcase used two walks and a single to load the bases, before Nelson Whit Davis hit a single to bring home Maddux Lessard. Tai Jones tied the game on the next pitch, crossing home on a passed ball. With the still bases loaded, Dylan Honore drew a walk to give Nationals Showcase the 7-6 win.

Tai Jones (1-0) earned the win for the Nationals Showcase, while Hudson Griffin (0-1) suffered the loss for Hooks Baseball.

Nationals Showcase completed the 2019 10U Futures Invitational with a 1-3-1, while the Hooks Baseball dropped to 0-5.

SBA Nationals 5, Braves Baseball Academy 3

Extra innings were needed to decide the winner of the SBA Nationals and Braves Baseball Academy on the final day of the 2019 10U Futures Invitational as SBA Nationals scored two in the top of the seventh to earn the 5-3 win.

Braves Baseball Academy jumped out to an early lead in the bottom of the first thanks to an RBI-single by Lukus Perez. SBA Nationals tied the game in the top of the second with a double by Troy Alderfer that plated Ivan Andino. The scoring continued in the top of the third for the SBA Nationals as Chase Khanolkar hit a two-RBI double to take a 3-1 lead. Braves Baseball Academy plated a run in the fourth on a sacrifice bunt by Anthony Valdez, before tying the game in the bottom of the sixth thanks to another RBI-single from Perez.

With runners on first and second to begin the seventh inning due to the international tie-breaker, Andino led off the inning with an RBI-double and Hudson Simmons brought home a run with a single to give SBA Nationals the 5-3 lead.

Derek Vasquez (1-0) earned the win in relief for SBA Nationals after holding the Braves Baseball Academy scoreless in the final two innings while allowing just one hit. Thomas Glenn (0-1) was given the loss for Braves Baseball Academy after giving up the final two runs of the game.

Both teams concluded the 2019 10U Futures Invitational with a 3-2 record.

Stars Baseball Colangelo 4, Pacific Baseball Academy 0

Star Baseball Colangelo's starting pitcher Alexander Quigley-Skillin hurled five scoreless innings and Teagan Leach drove in three runs at the plate to defeat Pacific Baseball Academy, 4-0, on Sunday at Thomas Brooks Park in Cary, N.C.

Stars Baseball Colangelo scored all four of its runs in the first two innings as Chase Colangelo opened scoring with an RBI-single to the left side in the top of the first. After Stars Baseball Colangelo loaded the bases with one out in the top of the second on two singles and a walk, Leach capped off the scoring with a three-RBI triple to deep right field to give Stars Baseball Colangelo a 4-0 win.

Quigley-Skillin (1-0) earned the win on the mound after pitching five scoreless innings while allowing just three hits and striking out three. Jet Adams (1-1) suffered the loss for the Pacific Baseball Academy after giving up three runs in 1.2 innings on the mound.

Both teams concluded the 2019 10U Futures Invitational with a 3-2 record.

New Level Nationals 8, San Diego Show 0

Dylan Kelilholokai pitched a complete game-shutout for New Level Nationals and its offense scored eight runs in the sixth inning to defeat the San Diego Show, 8-0, on the final day of the 2019 Futures Invitational.

With the game locked in a scoreless tie through the first five innings thanks to solid performances on the mound from both teams, New Level Nationals broke through to score eight runs in the top of the sixth inning the earn the win. Maxwell Hemenway and Travis Fiedler led off the inning with a single and walk, respectively, before Carson Culvo broke deadlock with an RBI-double to plate Hemenway. Fiedler scored on a wild pitch two batters later, as the New Level Nationals used a two-RBI double, a triple and a passed ball to bring home the final five runs of the game.

Keliiholokai (1-0) earned the win for New Level Nationals after pitching a complete game shutout, allowing just two hits and striking out 10. Cristiaan Micah Gonzalez (0-1) was tagged with the loss for the San Diego Show.

Both teams concluded the 2019 10U Futures Invitational with a 3-2 record.

CARY, N.C. - Jake Brande struck out 12 in 5.2 innings and recorded two hits at the plate to lead Top Tier Americans past Twelve Baseball in the bronze medal game of the 2019 10U Futures Invitational at Thomas Brooks Park on Sunday.

The bronze marks the second medal for the Top Tier Americans at the 10U Futures Invitational after winning gold in 2017.

Brande earned the win for Top Tier Americans (4-1) after holding Twelve Baseball's (2-3) offense to one run, while striking out a tournament-high 12 in 5.2 innings on the mound. Christian Smith suffered the loss for the Twelve Baseball, allowing three runs on four hits in his 4.1 innings of work.

Ricardo Hurtado and Adrian Rosales led Top Tier Americans at the plate, finishing the game going two-for-two with a pair of RBIs and a run scored each. Brande, Gary Hennessy and Adrian Rosales each contributed two hits in the contest to help the Top Tier Americans to a bronze medal. Hayden Bogan went two-for-three and Braedon Sanches drove in a run to pace Twelve Baseball.

Minatee led Arizona National Baseball Academy at the plate with two inside-the-park home runs and four RBIs. Minatee, Franklin Miller and Blinn tied for the team lead with two runs scored each. Ricardo Hurtado led the charge offensively for the Top Tier Americans after going two-for-three with three stolen bases and crossing home twice. Jake Brande added a two-RBI home run and scored two runs of his own for the Top Tier Americans.

Key Moments:

  • Kane Garcia led off the game for Top Tier Americans with a double to shallow right field and Ricardo Hurtado hit a fly ball over the center fielder in the next at-bat to drive in Garcia as the Top Tier Americans jumped out to a 1-0 lead.
  • Christian Smith responded for Twelve Baseball in the top of the third with a leadoff triple to the gap in right-center. Braeden Sanches tied the game in the next at-bat with an RBI-double that fell between the right fielder and second baseman down the right field line.
  • The back-and-forth game continued in the home half of the third as Hurtado hit a one-out single up the middle, before stealing second and third on back-to-back pitches. Adrian Rosales brought Hurtado home with an RBI single to give Top Tier Americans the 2-1 lead halfway through the contest.
  • Garcia began the bottom of the fifth with his second double of the game and later scored on an RBI-groundout from Hurtado. Adrian Rosales extended the lead with a solo inside-the-park homerun that rolled to the wall in right-center.
  • Back-to-back singles from Aiden Scout Escobedo and Jake Brande and a hit by pitch loaded the bases for Top Tier Americans as Gary Hennessy hit an RBI-single to right field. Kristopher O'Donnell hit an RBI fielder's choice and Tyler Vladic stole home to round out the five-run sixth inning.

  • Brande (2-0) earned the win on the mound for Top Tier Americans after pitching 5.2 innings and striking out 12. His 12 strikeouts are the most by a pitcher in a single game at the 2019 10U Futures Invitational.

CARY, N.C. - After falling behind 7-2 in the third inning, Arizona National Baseball Academy rallied to defeat Top Tier Americans, 9-8, with a walk-off in the seventh inning to earn the final spot in the 2019 10U Futures Invitational Championship Game at Thomas Brooks Park in Cary, North Carolina on Saturday.

Arizona National Baseball Academy will take on Elite Squad in the gold medal game on Sunday. Top Tier Baseball will move on to face Twelve Baseball in Sunday's bronze medal game.

Arizona National Baseball Academy's Dylan Blinn entered the game in the top of the fourth inning and threw four shutout innings of relief without allowing a hit to earn the win on the mound. Dylan Minatee started the game for Arizona National Baseball Academy and allowed six runs in 2.2 innings and three strikeouts in the no-decision. Kristopher O'Donnell was tagged with the loss for the Top Tier Americans after giving up the final two runs in the bottom of the eighth. Top Tier American's starting pitcher Darey Rodriguez allowed four runs on five hits while striking out four before exiting the game in the fifth inning with his team leading 7-5.

  • Dylan Minatee recorded his first inside-the-park home run of the day in the bottom of the third with a shot to deep left field that scored two and cut the lead to three. Minatee struck again in the bottom of the sixth with another two-run homer, this time to deep right field, to cut the Top Tier Americans lead to one. Following Minatee's second home run, Campbell and Rodrigues reached base on a pair Top Tier Americans' errors before Braylon Luster tied the game with a double to send the game into extra innings.
  • With the international tie-breaker in effect, Brande scored on a ground out by Benjamin Martinez as the Top Tier Americans regained the lead.
  • After a strikeout to begin the inning, Arizona National Baseball Academy loaded the bases on a single by Luke Gladchuck. Nathan Danzeisen tied the game on the very next pitch with a single of his own that brought home Luster, who started the inning at second. Drew Boyd earned the game-winning RBI the hard way as he was hit by a pitch that brought home Miller to send Arizona National Baseball Academy to the championship game with a 9-8 win.

CARY, N.C. - Elite Squad scored double-digit runs for the third straight game as it defeated Twelve Baseball, 12-2, in the first semifinal of the 2019 10U Futures Invitational at Thomas Brooks Park in Cary, North Carolina, on Saturday.

Elite Squad clinched a spot in its first 10U Futures Invitational Championship game with the win, while Twelve Baseball will play in Sunday's bronze medal game.

Bryan Ravelo earned the win on the mound for Elite Squad after allowing one earned run on three hits and striking out five in four innings of work. Kyle Stone suffered the loss for Twelve Baseball after allowing five earned runs on eight hits in three innings on the mound.

Four players, Matthew Carrasco, Blayden Caballero, Gavin Hickey and Dylan Fernandez, led Elite Squad at the plate after recording two hits each. Ten different players scored runs in the game for Elite Squad, while Ravelo paced the team with two RBIs at the plate. Tripp Surbur went two-for-two with a double and a run scored to lead Twelve Baseball.

Key Moments:

  • Hayden Bogan opened scoring in the top of the first after he reached base on a fielder's choice before moving to third on a wild pitch. Bogan crossed home after a pickoff attempt from Elite Squad got away from the first baseman to give Twelve Baseball a 1-0 advantage.
  • Allan Hernandez and Dylan Fernandez led off the bottom of the second for Elite Squad with a walk and a single, respectively, before reaching second and third on a groundout from Sylas Billie. Bryan Ravelo gave Elite Squad the lead as he drove in Hernandez and Fernandez with a double down the right-field line. Felipe Benitez then hit an RBI-groundout to the shortstop to give Elite Squad a 3-1 advantage after two.
  • Elite Squad's offense continued to roll in the bottom of the third, bringing home three runs to take a 6-1 lead. Brady Buxbaum drove in Blayden Cabalerro with a single that went just wide of the shortstop's glove. Hernandez brought Buxbaum home with an RBI-triple to right field, before scoring on a single by Fernandez.
  • Twelve Baseball's Tripp Surbur led off the top of the fourth inning with a double down the left field line before scoring two batters later as Kade Kram hit an RBI-groundout to the first baseman.
  • Six straight hitters reached base for Elite Squad in the bottom of the fourth on three singles, a double and a pair of errors from Twelve Baseball to make the score 12-2 and end the game due to the run-rule.

Semifinal Saturday Is Set After Day Three of Futures Invitational

Four teams clinched a spot in Saturday's semifinal games on the final day of pool play at the 2019 Futures Invitational on Friday. No.1-overall seed Team Elite (3-0) will face No.4-seeded Twelve Baseball (2-1) at 9:15 a.m., while No. 3 Top Tier Americans will take on No. 2 Arizona Nationals Baseball at 11:45. Both games will be held on Field 7 of Thomas Brooks Park in Cary, North Carolina.

Pacific Baseball Academy 8, Nationals Showcase 5

Pacific Baseball Academy scored four runs in the final inning to come from behind and defeat Nationals Showcase 8-5 on Friday at Thomas Brooks Park in Cary, N.C.

Nationals Showcase got out to a quick lead and plated four runs in the first two innings. Pacific Baseball Academy responded with a three run third inning, thanks to an inside-the-park home run hit by Ira Rootman. Pacific Baseball Academy improved to 2-1 in the tournament, while Nationals Showcase fell to 0-2-1.

San Diego Show 6, Kangaroo Court 8

After falling behind early, Kangaroo Court rallied to earn a come-from-behind win over San Diego Show 8-6 on Friday at Thomas Brooks Park in Cary, N.C.

San Diego Show jumped out to a quick 6-0 lead in the first two innings, but could not tally another run the rest of the way. Kangaroo Court was able to plate four runs in the bottom of the second thanks to three RBI-singles. In the bottom of the fourth, Mateo Harvey-Olivo hit an RBI-single that scored two runs and tied the game. Three batters later, James Boone hit an RBI-single to center which drove in the final two runs of the game and allowed Kangaroo Court to complete the comeback.

Easton Stegbauer (1-0) earned the win for Kangaroo Court after tallying four strikeouts in three innings pitched. Jack Greco (0-1) was tagged with the loss for San Diego Show.

Kangaroo Court improves to 2-1 in the tournament, while San Diego Show fell to 0-2.

Hooks Baseball 5, Arizona National Baseball Academy 7

Arizona National Baseball Academy secured its spot in a semifinal on Saturday after defeating Hooks Baseball, 7-5, on Friday at Thomas Brooks Park in Cary, N.C.

Hooks Baseball took a commanding 3-0 lead in the top of the first after Trent M stole home and Dax P hit an RBI-double two pitches later before scoring a run of his own on an Arizona National Baseball Academy error. Luke Gladchuck wasted no time getting Arizona National Baseball Academy on the board as he hit a single to lead off the bottom of the first and stole second and third on back-to-back pitches before scoring on a groundout from Nathan Danzeisen.

Arizona National Baseball Academy used three RBI-singles in the next inning to take the lead, before adding another trio of runs in the bottom of the fourth. Reid Wood and Macade Manning scored the final two runs for Hooks Baseball in the top of the fifth on a groundout and a passed ball, respectively, as Arizona National Baseball earned he 7-5 win.

Daniel Minnatee (1-0) earned the win for Arizona National Baseball Academy after pitching four innings and recording four strikeouts in relief. Jackson Blancett was tagged with the loss For Hooks Baseball.

Arizona National Baseball Academy wrapped up pool play with a 3-0 record, while Hooks Baseball fell to 0-3.

Twelve Baseball 15, Dream Chasers 5

Tripp Surber went three-for-four and accounted for seven runs Twelve Baseball defeated the Dream Chasers, 15-5, in five innings on Friday at Thomas Brooks Park in Cary, N.C.

Twelve Baseball led from start to finish after jumping out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the first when Julian Suarez stole home and Kade Kram hit an RBI-double to center field. Dream Chasers bounced back with a run in the bottom half of the first after Jael Santos hit an inside-the-park home run to cut the lead to one. Surbur drove in his first run of the afternoon on a fly ball to center field, before Walker Anderson hit a two-RBI single two batters later to give Twelve Baseball the 6-1 lead. The Dream Chasers responded to a two-run fourth inning by Twelve Baseball with four runs in the bottom half, highlighted by back-to-back inside-the-park homeruns from Dylan Santucci and Cameron Lynch to cut the lead to 8-5. Twelve Baseball earned the win due to the run-rule after scoring seven in the top of the fifth and holding the Dream Chasers Scoreless.

Hayden Bogan, Suarez and Surber recorded three hits each, while Suarez scored four runs. Suarez was active on the base paths as well, stealing four bases in the contest to lead his team. Seven different batters recorded a base hit for the Dream Chasers.

Bogan (1-0) earned the win on the mound for Twelve Baseball, after striking out two in four innings of work. Cameron Lynch (0-1) suffered the loss for Dream Chasers after giving up seven earned runs in four innings on the mound.

Twelve Baseball improved to 2-1, while the Dream Chasers fell to 1-2 to complete pool play.

Chino Hills Thunder 4, SBA Nationals 0

Chino Hills Thunder allowed just two hits en route to its first shutout win of the tournament, besting SBA Nationals 4-0 on Friday at Thomas Brooks Park in Cary, N.C.

Chino Hills got on the board first after Julian Garcia stole second and capitalized on a two-base error by the SBA Nationals' second basemen to take a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second. Ace Tovares added to the lead after he hit and RBI-groundout in the bottom of the third that brought home Landon Scott, before Brock Hickey scored on a wild pitch and Dylan Wood hit an RBI-flyout to right field to take the 4-0 win.

Chino Hills Thunder's starting pitcher Logan Schmidt was lights out on the mound, pitching 5.2 scoreless innings, while striking out six to earn the win. Brock Hickey closed the game for Chino Hills, finishing the SBA Nationals in just three pitches. Connor Woods (0-2) suffered the loss for SBA Nationals after allowing four runs on seven hits in 3.1 innings on the mound.

Chino Hills finished pool play at the 2019 Futures Invitational with a 2-1 record, while the SBA Nationals fell to 1-2.

New Level Nationals 1, Braves Baseball Academy 8

Aidann Ruiz went two-for-three with two RBIs and scored a pair of runs to lead Braves Baseball Academy past New Level Nationals, 8-1, on Friday at Thomas Brooks Park in Cary, N.C.

The New Level Nationals scored its lone run in the first inning as Carson Calvo hit the team's second inside-the-park home run of the tournament with a deep shot to left field in the top of the first. The Braves Baseball Academy fought back in the bottom half as Lukus Perez hit a two-RBI single to right field. The Braves Baseball Academy added two runs in the bottom of the third and four in the fourth frame to earn the 8-1 win.

Anthony Valdez (1-0) earned the win for Braves Baseball Academy after allowing just the solo home run in two innings on the mound. Jaxon Buckner (0-1) was tagged with the loss for Braves Baseball Academy.

Braves Baseball Academy improved to 2-1 with the win, while New Level Nationals fell to 0-3.

Top Tier Americans 6, Stars Baseball Colangelo 2

Top Tier Americans closed pool play with an undefeated record after besting Stars Baseball Colangelo, 6-2, on Friday at the 2019 Futures Invitational.

Top Tier Americans jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the first after Kane Garcia scored on a wild pitch and Ricardo Hurtado crossed home on a passed ball three pitches later. Star Baseball Colangelo cut the lead to one after Yogi Colangelo stole home in the bottom of the second. Not to be outdone, the Top Tier Americans took the lead after Greyson Gonzalez and Kane Garcia stole home to take a 4-1 lead in the top of the third. Star Baseball Colangelo added its final run of the game with an RBI-single from Troy Gonzalez, before the Top Tier Americans added a pair of runs in the top of the fifth to earn the win.

Ryan Sanchez (1-0) earned the win on the mound for the Top Tier Americans after allowing just one run on one hit in three innings and striking out four. Star Baseball Colangelo's Teagan Leach (0-1) suffered the loss despite punching out seven batters in his three innings of work.

CARY, N.C. - Elite Squad finished pool play with an undefeated record after using 16 hits to defeat the Parker Jets, 15-1, fat the 2019 10U Futures Invitational at Thomas Brooks Park in Cary, North Carolina.

Elite Squad's starting pitcher Samuel Echeverry earned the win on the mound for after striking out three and allowing just two hits in 2.2 scoreless innings. Brady Buxbaum struck out two in 1.1 innings of relief, while Ayden Rosario closed the game with a strikeout in 1.1 innings. Carter Rathburn suffered the loss for the Parker Jets after allowing six earned runs on six hits in 2.1 innings on the mound.

Gavin Hickey went 3-for-4 and recorded a pair of RBIs to lead Elite Squad at the plate. Ayden Rosario paced the team with three RBIs and Blayden Cabellero contributed three runs to lead Elite Squad. Elite Squad scored total runs in the fourth and fifth inning to erase a two-run deficit and defeat Pacific Baseball Academy 8-3 on Thursday at Thomas Brooks Park in Cary, N.C.

Elite Squad's offense stuck first as Brady Buxbaum hit an RBI-single to center field for the first run of the game in the home half of the first. Pacific Baseball Academy responded with three runs of their own in the second. Elite Squad tied the game at three runs apiece in the fourth inning on an RBI-triple from Buxbaum. Elite Squad took the lead in the bottom of the fifth after plating five runs on two singles, a walk and an error by Pacific Baseball Academy

Allan Hernandez (1-0) earned the win for Elite Squad after 2.1 innings pitched and three strikeouts. Dylan Northcutt (0-1) suffered the loss for Pacific Baseball Academy.

Elite Squad improves to 1-0 in the tournament, while Pacific Baseball Academy fell to 0-1.

Nationals Showcase 11, Parkers Jets 11

The dramatic contest between Nationals Showcase and Parker Jets ended in an 11-11 due to time constraints on Thursday at Thomas Brooks Park in Cary, N.C.

Both offenses flourished throughout the game, as the teams recorded a combined 31 hits. Parker Jets began the high-scoring affair by jumping out to a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first. National Showcases' Grant Bartell responded in the top of the second with a bases-clearing RBI-triple to take a one-run lead. Parker Jets' Will Hayes hit an RBI-triple of his own, followed by an RBI-single from Jett Lemonds to give Parker Jets a 4-3 lead in the second. After a scoreless third, Nationals Showcase plated two runs to regain the lead. Parker Jets' Gavin Lemonds quickly tied the game up with an RBI-single to left field. After Nationals Showcase scored two runs in the fifth, Tai Jones was able to take advantage of a passed ball and steal home with the third run of the inning and increase the lead by three. National Showcase tacked on three more runs in the top of the sixth, but Parker Jets would answer in the bottom of the sixth with a game-tying six runs.

Nelson Whit Davis paced the offense for Nationals Showcase, going 3-for-4 with two RBIs. Wilson Shaw led the offense for Parker Jets, also going 3-for-4 from the plate and with two RBIs.

Both teams moved to 0-0-1 at the 2019 10U Futures Invitational with the tie.

Kangaroo Court 14, Hooks Baseball 3

Kangaroo Court used a barrage of runs to defeat Hooks Baseball, 14-3, on Thursday at Thomas Brooks Park in Cary, N.C.

Kangaroo Court got on the board first after a pair of RBIs from Alejandro Soto Baez Jr. and Xavier Davis. Roy Richards hit an RBI-triple and later scored on a passed ball for Hooks Baseball in the bottom of the first to make the score 2-2. In the bottom of the second, Landen Noske gave Hooks Baseball the lead with an RBI-single to left. Kangaroo Court would regain the lead in the third and held on for the rest of the game, scoring 12 runs.

Tyson Lake was the winning pitcher for Kangaroo Court, pitching five innings and recording six strikeouts on the mound. Reid Wood was tagged with the loss For Hooks Baseball.

Kangaroo Court improved to 1-0, while Hooks Baseball fell to 0-1.

Arizona National Baseball Academy 10, San Diego Show 0

Arizona National Baseball Academy's Luke Gladchuk and Maddox Wahlenmaier threw a combined no-hitter and the offense exploded for 10 runs as Arizona National Baseball defeated the San Diego Show, 10-0, in four innings on Thursday at Thomas Brooks Park in Cary, N.C.

Arizona National Baseball Academy's offense plated three runs in the bottom first inning thanks to RBI-singles from Drew Boyd and Braylon Luster and an RBI-walk from Brody Bartee. Arizona National Baseball Academy tacked on three more runs in the third, before another four runs in the fourth increased their lead to 10, ending the game due to the run-rule.

Arizona National Baseball Academy's pitchers overwhelmed the San Diego Show offense as Gladchuck (1-0) struck out four in 3.2 innings to earn the win on the mound. Lukas Waite suffered the loss for San Diego Show after giving up three runs in one inning of work. Offensively, Boyd paced Arizona National Baseball Academy, going 3-for-3 from the plate and adding two RBIs.

SBA Nationals 7, Twelve Baseball 6

SBA Nationals used an RBI-triple from Jaxon Haynes to earn a walk-off win over Twelve Baseball, 7-6, on Thursday at Thomas Brooks Park in Cary, N.C.

Twelve Baseball got out to an early two-run after scoring a run in the first and third innings. Twelve Baseball increased their lead to six after a four-run fifth inning, but SBA Nationals' offense came alive in the final two innings of the game. After a passed ball allowed Hudson Simmons to steal home in the fifth, Jaxon Haynes hit an RBI-single, making the score 6-2. Later in the inning, Chase Khanolkar grounded into a double play, but it allowed another SBA Nationals run to score. With the score 6-3 in the sixth, SBA Nationals started their rally with an RBI-groundout from Brain Devereaux. After another passed ball, Simmons was able to steal home again, making the score 6-5. Down by one run and a runner on first and second, SBA Nationals' Haynes hit an RBI-triple to seal the victory.

Khanolkar (1-0) earned the win in relief after holding Twelve Baseball scoreless in the seventh inning. Kyle Stone (0-1) suffered the loss for Twelve Baseball.

An early lead and effective pitching propelled Top Tier Americans over Braves Baseball Academy 3-0 on Thursday at Thomas Brooks Park in Cary, N.C.

Top Tier Americans were able to strike in the first inning, thanks to an RBI-triple from Ryan Sanchez that plated two runs. Ricardo Hurtado recorded an RBI-single in the bottom of the third as the Top Tier Americans clinched the 3-0 win.

Jake Brande (1-0) earned the win for Top Tier Americans after allowing just two hits in 3.1 innings pitched and four strikeouts. Yahir Treto (0-1) was tagged with the loss for Braves Baseball Academy.

After trailing by as many as three runs, Stars Baseball Colangelo rallied to defeat New Level Nationals 10-7 on Thursday at the 2019 Futures Invitational.

Star Baseball Colangelo jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the top of the first after Serf Guerra and Teagan Leach recorded RBI-singles and Gatlyn Grace scored on an error by the New Level Nationals. The New Level Nationals cut the lead to one after scoring on a fielder's choice and a sacrifice fly in the second and third innings, respectively. The New Level Nationals took the lead in the top of the fourth after Brayden Landry hit an RBI-groundout and Maxwell Hemenway hit a two-RBI inside-the-park home run to take a 6-3 edge.

Stars Baseball Colangelo responded in the bottom of the fourth with a run of their own, before adding four in the home half of the fifth to take the lead once and for all.

Gavin Knox (1-0) earned the win in relief for Stars Baseball Colangelo, while Fiedler (0-1) suffered the loss on the mound.

Elite Squad cruised to its second win of the 2019 10U Futures Invitational with a 15-0 win over Nationals Showcase on Thursday at Thomas Brooks Park in Cary, N.C.

Elite Squad's starting pitcher Sylas Billie and Julian Diaz combined to throw a no-hitter while punching out seven in two innings on the mound apiece to lock down the National Showcase offense. The Elite Squad continued its hot hitting streak from the first pitch, scoring five runs in the first inning on three singles to take an early lead. The team would tack on two runs in the second, six in the third and a pair of runs in the fourth as the game was called due to the run-rule.

Gavin Hickey went three-for-four with a double and scored three runs to pace Elite Squad at the plate. Billie earned the win on the mound, while Nationals Showcase's Dylan Honore (0-1) was given the loss.

Elite Squad moved to 2-0 at the 2019 10U Futures Invitational, while National Showcase dropped to 0-1-1.

San Diego Show scored in four of its five innings at the plate to open the Futures Invitational with a 10-0 win over Hooks Baseball on Thursday at Thomas Brooks Park in Cary, N.C.

San Diego Show took an early 2-0 lead in the bottom of the second after Seth Vanderspek stole home on a passed ball and Santiago Williams hit an RBI-single to left field. William Millett added a run in the third with an RBI-single to center field. San Diego Show would go on to score seven runs in fourth and fifth innings as the game was called due to the run-rule.

Arizona National Baseball Academy trailed for the first time in the tournament after Kangaroo Court's James Boone hit an inside-the-park to left field to give his team the early lead. Arizona National Baseball Academy responded in the top of the third with a five-run inning that included a pair of RBI-singles and an RBI-Triple. Arizona National Baseball Academy's offense stayed hot, plating four runs in the fourth and five runs in the fifth inning as the game was called due to the run rule.

Brody Bartee (1-0) picked up the win on the mound for Arizona National Baseball Academy, while Xavier Davies suffered the loss (0-1).

Twelve Baseball earned its first victory of the 2019 10U Futures Invitational with a 6-3 win over Chino Hills Thunder on Thursday at Thomas Brooks Park in Cary, N.C.

Twelve Baseball jumped out to an early 2-0 lead after Walker Anderson drew an RBI-walk and Kade Kram hit an RBI-single to right field in the bottom of the first inning. Chino Hills Thunder responded with two runs of its own to tie the game in the top of the second before Twelve Baseball regained the lead in the home half on an RBI-walk and an error by Chino Hills Thunder. Chino Hills Thunder scored its last run of the game after Dylan Wood hit a single through the right side to bring home Dylan Seward. Twelve Baseball added two insurance runs in the bottom of the fifth to earn the 6-3 win.

The Top Tier Americans claimed its place at the top of the standings at the end of the first day of the 2019 10U Futures Invitational with a 9-5 win over New Level National on Thursday at Thomas Brooks Park in Cary, N.C.

Dylan Keliiholokai put the New Level Nationals on the board first in the bottom of the opening inning after hitting an RBI-double over the center fielder's head to bring home Carson Calvo. Top Tier Americans plated three runs in the second by way of a two-RBI inside-the-park home run by Jose Bingochea, before Gary Hennessy scored on an error. The Top Tier Americans added a trio of runs in the third and fourth innings to take a 9-1 lead.

Darey Rodriguez (1-0) earned the win on the mound for Top Tier Americans, while Calvo (0-1) suffered the loss after allowing five runs in three innings on the mound.

The Top Tier Americans moved to 2-0, while the New Level Nationals fell to 0-2.

SBA Nationals 2, Dream Chasers 3

The Dream Chasers earned its first win of the tournament with a dramatic 3-2 win over SBA Nationals on Thursday at Thomas Brooks Park in Cary, N.C.

Cameron Lynch began started the scoring after drawing a bases-loaded walk before Jaiden Lopez scored on a balk to give the Dream Chasers an early 2-0 lead. SBA Nationals responded in the top of the fourth when Leyton Guhl scored on a Dream Chasers error before Derek Vasquez hit an RBI-Triple to tie the game at two-all. The Dream Chasers scored the go-ahead run in the home half of the fourth as Izaeya Collado came home courtesy of an SBA Nationals error.

Dylan Santucci (1-0) picked up the win on the mound for the Dream Chasers after allowing two runs, zero earned, in his four innings of work. SBA Nationals' starting pitcher Troy Alderfer (0-1) was given the loss.

The outcome of the game moved both teams to a 1-1 at the 2019 10U Futures Invitational.

The Braves Baseball Academy excelled on both sides of the ball as it wrapped up the first day of play at the 2019 10U Futures Invitational with an 8-1 win over Stars Baseball Colangelo on Thursday at Thomas Brooks Park in Cary, N.C.

The Braves Baseball Academy's bats were hot from the onset as the team recorded three RBI-doubles from Thomas Glenn, Lukus Perez and Andrew Rico to take a 3-0 lead in the top of the first. Stars Baseball Colangelo plated its lone run of the game as Jacob Pfitzner drove a ball through the left side of the infield to bring home Nico Moritz-Toledo.

CARY, N.C. -Pacific Baseball Academy used a four-run first inning to power past the Parker Jets, 6-1, on the first day of the 2019 10U Futures Invitational at Thomas Brooks Park.

Pacific Baseball Academy's starting pitcher Jet Adams earned the win on the mound after allowing just one run on two hits while striking out two in 4.1 innings. Trevor Chang held the Parker Jets scoreless and allowed just one hit in his 1.2 innings of relief. Parker Jets starting pitcher Wilson Shaw suffered the loss after allowing two earned runs in five innings on the mound and striking out two.

Ira Rootwood led Pacific Baseball Academy at the plate after going one-for-two, with a home run and recording two RBIs. Landon Sims paced his team with two hits, while Rootwood contributed two runs to lead Pacific Baseball Academy. Benjamin Ruggier and Jackson Brinkman added two extra-base hits for Pacific Baseball Academy, recording double and a triple, respectively. Will Hayes went one-for-two at the plate with a triple, while Travis Varela drove in the Parker Jets' lone run of the contest.

CARY, N.C. - Chino Hills Thunder scored eight runs in the bottom of the fourth to open the 2019 10U Futures Invitational with a 13-3 win over the Dream Chasers at Thomas Brooks Park on Friday.

Dylan Wood earned the win on the mound for Chino Hills Thunder after allowing just one run on two hits in 2.2 innings on the mound. The Dream Chasers' starting pitcher Jael Santos suffered the loss after allowing two runs in 1.2 innings on the mound and striking out two.

Landon Scott led the Chino Hills Thunder at the plate, going two-for-three with three runs scored and an RBI. Chino Hills Thunder stole 11 bases in the contest, led by Sims and Christian Santoyo, who recorded three apiece. Eight different Chino Hills Thunder batters drove in a run in the game, while nine scored a run. Jael Santos recorded two hits and a pair of runs at the plate to lead the Dream Chasers. 

 

Key Moments:

  • The Dream Chasers jumped out to an early lead in the top of the first as Jael Santos legged out an inside-the-park home run on a line drive down the left field line.
  • Douglas Crockwell tied the game at one in the bottom of the second after a perfectly placed bunt fell between the Dream Chaser's first and second basemen, bringing home Landon Scott.
