Matchup: The final pod of the National High School Invitational (NHSI) begins with a matchup between NHSI-veterans Harvard-Westlake School (Studio City, Calif.) and newcomers Hendersonville High School (Hendersonville, Tenn.). Harvard-Westlake will play in its third NHSI in 2019 after back-to-back runner-up finishes in 2012 and 2013. The Wolverines enter the tournament after being ranked No. 2 nationally by Baseball America, No. 14 by Perfect Game and No. 17 by MaxPreps in the preseason polls. Three-time USA Baseball alum Pete Crow Armstrong leads Harvard-Westlake into the NHSI after earning a gold medal with the USA Baseball 18U National Team in 2018.

Hendersonville will look to take down the Wolverines in its inaugural game at the NHSI in the round of 16 on April 3. The Commandos enter the tournament after an impressive 29-6 record and a trip to the postseason in 2018. Auburn University commit Hayden Mullins will lead Hendersonville in an effort to upset the Wolverines.

Matchup: The final matchup of pod four promises to be one of the best contests in the Round of 16 as Christian Brothers College High School (St. Louis, Mo.) takes on Hagerty High School (Oviedo, Fla.). Christian Brothers College enter the tournament at the No. 20 slot in the Perfect Game preseason rankings. Christian Brothers College is led by the duo of Christian Little, a 2018 USA Baseball 15U National Team member, and Kurtis Bryne, who is committed to Texas Christian University (TCU).

The path to the second round will be anything but easy for Christian Brothers College as it faces one of the top draft prospects in the country in Riley Greene and the Hagerty Huskies. Greene, who places No. 5 in the Baseball America draft prospect list and No. 8 in the MLB Pipeline polls, was also a member of the 18U National Team in 2018, earning a gold medal for his efforts at the COPABE U-18 Pan-American Championships. Vaughn Grissom, a Florida International commit, will help Greene lead Hagerty into its inaugural NHSI appearance as the team hopes to bring the NHSI Championship to Florida for the second time.
