Alex White

Sophomore right-hander Alex White has been in the Tar Heels' rotation, for the most part, since he arrived in Chapel Hill. His freshman season was highlighted by a victory over Virginia in the ACC Tournament in which he struck out five Cavaliers and held them to two hits and no runs over seven innings. In his sophomore season, he's been the ace of the Carolina staff, lowering his ERA nearly a run and a half since his opening campaign, while hoping to lead the club back to the College World Series in Omaha.
