Chris Duffy put together possibly the finest season in Central Florida and Conference USA history in 2010. One of 25 semifinalists for the NCBWA Dick Howser Award, Duffy was selected as a Louisville Slugger/Collegiate Baseball Second Team All-American. The Orlando, Fla., native was also voted onto the All-C-USA First Team, and he broke the UCF and C-USA single-season records with a .447 batting average and an .850 slugging percentage. Duffy also shattered the UCF school mark with 21 home runs and 81 RBIs. The senior joins Tim Barker (1985) as the only GSA finalists in UCF history.

Junior lefty Drew Pomeranz compiled a 9-2 record with 139 strikeouts for Ole Miss, putting him second on the school's single-season list and first on the career strikeout list with 344. He logged a 2.24 ERA on the year, allowing only 25 earned runs in 100.2 innings of work and holding opponents to a .195 batting average against. His performance earned him a First Team All-America selection by Louisville Slugger/Collegiate Baseball, and he is a semifinalist for the NCBWA Dick Howser Award. The Collierville, Tenn., native was selected by the Cleveland Indians with the fifth overall pick in the 2010 MLB First-Year Player Draft. Pomeranz becomes the second GSA finalist from Ole Miss, joining Stephen Head (2004).

Left-hander Chris Sale, who was selected 13th overall by the Chicago White Sox in the 2010 MLB First-Year Player Draft, finished his junior campaign with an 11-0 record, two saves and a 2.01 ERA in 17 appearances. He racked up a nation's-best 146 strikeouts with just 14 walks for a strikeout-to-walk ratio of 10.4-to-1 on the year. The Lakeland, Fla., native was named Collegiate Baseball's National Player of the Year and a Louisville Slugger/Collegiate Baseball First-Team All-American. Sale became the first Division I National Player of the Year and also the first Division I All-American in Florida Gulf Coast's baseball program history. He is also the first FGC player to be named a GSA finalist.

Coming off a dominating junior season where he posted a 12-1 record and was named a Golden Spikes Award semifinalist, Daniel Bibona picked up right where he left off in 2010. The Lake Forest, Calif. native posted a 9-2 record with a team-leading 2.10 ERA and 100 strikeouts over 12 appearances. The 2010 Big West Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year and is a finalist for the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award. Bibona decided against entering the MLB First-Year Player Draft following his 2009 campaign in an attempt to take the Anteaters to Omaha in 2010.

Gary Brown led the Titans in average (.438) hits (92), slugging percentage (.695), on-base percentage (.485), triples (8), stolen bases (31), and he tied for first in runs (62) with fellow Golden Spikes semifinalist Christian Colon. His average was the highest among all regular starters in the Big West, and he also led or tied for the conference lead with his hits, runs, triples and stolen bases totals. Brown suffered a finger fracture on a stolen base attempt in early May - he is expected back for Fullerton's postseason run.

Yasmani Grandal is having one of the most productive offensive seasons in school history for the storied Miami baseball program. The Miami native is hitting .412 with 14 homers, 56 RBIs, 54 runs scored and 55 walks in 59 games. Grandal was named 2010 ACC Player of the Year and a First Team Louisville Slugger/Collegiate Baseball All-American. He was selected by the Cincinnati Reds in the MLB First-Year Player Draft with the 12th overall pick. The junior becomes the 12th Miami alum to be named a GSA finalist and will attempt to become the school's second GSA winner (Pat Burrell, 1998). Grandal is the lone finalist still playing, as the Hurricanes attempt to advance to a NCAA Super Regional Tuesday against Texas A&M.

Trevor Bauer led one of the best rotations in college baseball in strikeouts (124) this season, while posting a 2.84 ERA and a 9-3 record. Bauer's stellar 2010 came on the heels of a freshman season at UCLA that saw the righty earn National Freshman Pitcher of the Year and Freshman All-American honors from Collegiate Baseball Newspaper. He capped 2009 by going 1-1 for the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team, with 24 strikeouts and a .213 batting average against, as he helped Team USA to a gold medal at the World Baseball Challenge.

Expected to go in the top 15 in this year's MLB First-Year Player Draft, many wonder if Michael Choice will even stick around for that long. As of May 27, Choice had reached base safely in 68 consecutive games, which was the longest streak in the country. His on-base percentage ranks second in D-I baseball, and he leads the nation in walks. He finished the regular season batting .383 with 62 runs, 10 doubles, 16 home runs and 57 RBIs while starting and playing every game in center field and hitting in the No. 3 spot for the Mavericks. Choice was named the Southland Conference Player of the Year. He has been a standout athlete for the Mavericks since he stepped foot on campus, but his stock soared once he earned a spot on USA Baseball's 2009 Collegiate National Team.

The No. 1 overall selection by the Washington Nationals in the 2010 First-Year Player Draft, Bryce Harper exceeded all expectations during his freshman season at Southern Nevada, belting 31 home runs (CSN single-season record), with 98 RBIs and a .443 average. The Las Vegas native was named 2010 SWAC Player of the Year and First Team SWAC All-Conference. Harper joins Alex Fernandez (Miami Dade CC [JUCO], 1990), Michael Tucker (Longwood [Division II], 1992) and Alex Rodriguez (Westminster Christian High School [Fla.], 1993) as the only non-Division I players selected as GSA finalists in the last 20 years. To date, Fernandez remains the only junior college and non-Division I player to ever win the award.

Following a freshman season full of accolades and a standout summer in the Cape Cod Baseball League where he was named MVP of the CCBL All-Star Game, Zack Cox resumed his starting role as third baseman for the Razorbacks and did not disappoint. Cox led the Southeastern Conference with a .432 batting average, in hits with 92 and stands second with 60 runs scored. He is now in the Arkansas records book with 69 singles, the most in a single-season at the school. In addition to his stellar play on the field, Cox was named a 2010 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District 6 First Team performer for his work in the classroom.

Leading the Big 12 as a freshman in opponent batting average (.193), ERA (2.00) and hits allowed per nine innings (6.18) in 2009, Taylor Jungmann set the bar high for himself heading into his sophomore campaign. The 6-6 pitcher more than delivered, following up his freshman All-American season with another spectacular year. Even in an incredibly deep pitching rotation, Jungmann stood out, logging a 6-2 record with a 2.20 ERA and 110 strikeouts. The Longhorns will rely heavily on the big right-hander as they look to pursue a national championship this season.

Christian Colon led the Titans in home runs (14), walks (30), and he tied for the most runs with fellow Golden Spikes semifinalist Gary Brown. Colon became the first player in the history of USA Baseball's Collegiate National Team to earn the title of team captain in 2009, and he led the club in hits (34), slugging (.459), home runs (5), RBIs (37), runs (31) and stolen bases (24). His performance earned him Baseball America's Summer League Player of the Year. One of the top defensive players in the country as well, Colon is projected as a top pick in the upcoming MLB First-Year Player Draft.

On the season, the junior first baseman set new Buccaneers single-season records for hits, runs, home runs, total bases, RBIs (77) and extra base hits (49). In addition to his leadership on the field, Hoilman was named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America University Division I Baseball First Team. The mathematics major with a 3.93 GPA was the only junior to be named to the team.

From his one-hit complete game shutout against Texas A&M to his nine scoreless innings against Oklahoma State, Cole Green has been nothing less than spectacular in 2010. Green posted a perfect 10-0 record and 2.08 ERA this season, and he is a big reason why the Longhorns were ranked among the top two teams at the end of the year and are among the favorites to advance to the College World Series. Thanks to his pinpoint accuracy and his ability to keep hitters off balance, Green was presented with the Big 12 Pitcher of the Year award.

Sophomore Zack MacPhee made an impact on Arizona State's baseball program since he first stepped foot on campus, earning an honorable mention All-Pac-10 selection in 2009. The switch hitter led the Sun Devils 2010 as well, winning Pac-10 Player of the Week honors twice and NCBWA National Hitter of the Week in February. During the regular season MacPhee led all Arizona State hitters in runs (62), triples (14), RBIs (59), slugging percentage (.686), and on-base percentage (.490), and his 14 triples are a single-season school record.

A junior, two-way player, Mike McGee excelled both on the mound and in left field for Florida State in 2010. He led the team in RBIs (63) and home runs (13), and on the mound, McGee stepped in nicely as the Seminole closer, posting a 4-0 record with nine saves and a 0.43 ERA. The right-hander logged 21 innings in 14 appearances, allowing just two runs (one earned) while posting 25 strikeouts. In his first and only start of the season back on Mar. 8 at Jacksonville, McGee no-hit the Dolphins over 6.0 innings.

Derek Dietrich was selected in the third round of the 2007 Major League Baseball Draft as the first pick of the Houston Astros, but elected to enroll at Georgia Tech instead. He has been a dominant presence since his freshman season and has started every game at shortstop since his arrival. During the 2010 regular season, Dietrich batted .374 with 15 doubles, 16 home runs and 58 RBIs in his third season on the Yellow Jackets while maintaining a 3.40 cumulative GPA as a management major. The junior shortstop helped the 2008 USA Baseball Collegiate National Team win a gold medal at the FISU World University Championships.

Last season as a freshman, Danny Hultzen was a do-it-all player for the Cavaliers. He went 9-1 on the mound with an ACC-leading 2.17 ERA, and he hit .327 from the plate with 37 RBIs and three home runs.He was ACC Freshman of the Year and was named to the ACC All-Tournament Team as a DH. Now a sophomore, it is Hultzen's pitching that secured his GSA semifinalist nod. The lefty went 8-1 with a 2.08 ERA and 106 strikeouts this season, holding hitters to a mere .179 batting average against. Hultzen's 2010 season earned him an invitation to USA Baseball's Collegiate National Team Trials.

He ranks among the school's single season leaders in batting average (.434, second), slugging percentage (.516, third) and on-base percentage (.788, third). The right-handed hitter carried hitting streaks of 19 and 18 games this season, and he reached base safely in 54 of 55 games.

Junior Hunter Morris earned SEC Player of the Year honors, making him only the second player in history to be named both the SEC Freshman and Player of the Year in his career. At the end of the regular season he led the conference in slugging percentage (.767), hits (94), home runs (20) and total bases (181), was second in runs scored (60), third in RBIs (67) and fifth in batting average (.398). Morris played for the undefeated 2008 U.S. Collegiate National Team, and he is one of the top draft-eligible first basemen heading into the 2010 MLB First-Year Player Draft.

A returning Golden Spikes Award semifinalist and still only a sophomore, Anthony Rendon has already established himself as one of the top players in the country. The third baseman's sophomore season has been even better than his remarkable 2009 campaign when he became the first player to win Conference USA Freshman and Player of the Year awards in the same season. He took home the Conference USA Player of the Year title again in 2010, and he led the conference in home runs (22) and runs scored (71) in the regular season. His stellar season has earned Rendon an invitation to the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team Trials for the second summer in a row.

Heading into this season, Chance Ruffin was tasked with going from being the ace of the Longhorns rotation last year to becoming their closer, and the Austin, Texas, native's transition was seamless. After leading the team in innings pitched last season en route to an impressive 10-2 record, 3.32 ERA and 115 strikeouts, Ruffin put up equally impressive numbers in 2010, going 6-1 with a team leading 13 saves in 32 appearances. His ERA is a miniscule 0.81, batters are hitting .179 against him and he has 83 strikeouts against only 16 walks.

Asher Wojciechowski had a busy summer in 2009, going 2-1 with an ERA of 2.18 for the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team. The performance gained him national recognition, and it helped the team capture a World Baseball Challenge gold medal. Wojciechowski picked up where he left off in 2010, going 10-2 during the regular season with 128 strikeouts and an ERA of 3.23. The right-hander pitched eight innings, striking out eight, as he picked up his 11th win of the season in a victory over Furman in the opening round of the Southern Conference Tournament.

With only two years of college baseball under his belt, John Stilson has already received numerous awards. As a freshman he tied the school record at Texas A&M for victories in a season, going 12-1 with a 2.44 ERA. For his efforts he received All-Conference, All-Region and All-American honors. In 2010 Stilson once again wowed the Aggie faithful with a 7-1 record and nine saves. He struck out 95 batters against only 18 walks and recorded an ERA of 0.98. Stilson is sure to be heavily relied upon in the upcoming Big 12 Conference Tournament.

Kolbrin Vitek has been a threat for the Ball State Cardinals not only at the plate, but on the mound as well. He led the team in nearly every offensive category including batting average (.364), runs (73), hits (83), doubles (20), triples (3), home runs (17), RBIs (68), slugging percentage (.702) and on-base percentage (.450), and he was second on the club in stolen bases (16). Vitek has pitched the most innings (74.2) of the Ball State pitching staff while maintaining the lowest ERA (3.25). On May 15, the righty tossed his first career complete game shutout.

After tossing a no-hitter against Michigan last year, Alex Wimmers had officially placed himself onto the college baseball radar. He was dubbed as one of the top arms in the country coming into this season, and Collegiate Baseball named him a 2010 Preseason First-Team All American. After taking over the No. 1 spot in the rotation his sophomore year, the junior righty continued to dominate hitters in the Big Ten this season. Wimmers is a perfect 9-0 on the year with an ERA of 1.60. He is holding batters to a .218 average, and he has 86 strikeouts.

Anthony Meo might have flown under the radar coming into 2010 because he doesn't play in a national powerhouse conference, but in helping keep Coastal Carolina atop the rankings this year, he has risen to national prominence. Last year as a freshman, Meo was named to the Freshman All-American Team by NCBWA, Louisville Slugger and Ping! Baseball. This year as the No. 1 starter for the Chanticleers, Meo has appeared in 14 games and has a 12-1 record and 1.73 ERA. In his last regular-season appearance, Meo struck out 10 for his 12th win, sending his team into the Big South tournament on a high note.

Following up last season's ACC Player of the Year and Collegiate Baseball First Team All-American honors, Deck McGuire has been a force throughout his junior season at Georgia Tech. He is the Yellow Jackets No. 1 weekend starter and one of the top pitchers in the country. At 6-6 McGuire has tremendous size on the mound and has four quality pitches to go with it. This season he is 8-3 with 105 strikeouts and holds a 2.83 ERA in 98.2 innings pitched. McGuire is no stranger to the Golden Spikes semifinal list, as he was a member last year as a sophomore with a 10-0 record.

Last year's All-BIG EAST Second Team selection was just as successful for the Cardinals in 2010. Junior third baseman Phil Wunderlich earned the accolade again this year and led the conference with 19 home runs to go along with a .356 average and 55 RBI during the regular season.
