Coastal Carolina sophomore pitcher Jacob Morrison has been one of the nation’s leaders this season on the bump, as he has compiled a 1.95 ERA and 10-0 record, which rank top four in the NCAA, across 78.1 innings pitched.
He is just one of 10 pitchers in Division I baseball with double-digit wins, and of those 10 pitchers he is one of four who has an undefeated record. In six of his 13 appearances this season, Morrison tossed six or more innings, including a career-long eight innings April 4 against Arkansas State, and in four of those outings he did not allow a run to score. Additionally, he tallied a career-high 10 strikeouts March 14 vs. Georgia Southern and March 28 vs. Texas State, and has impressively allowed just 17 walks compared to his 81 strikeouts on the year.
