Georgia’s Robbie Burnett ranks among the national home run leaders with 20 to go with 66 RBI and 17 stolen bases. A versatile defender, he has registered starts in the outfield and at second base this season.
A native of Franklinton, N.C., Burnett played his first three seasons at UNC-Asheville. He promised himself if he was in college for his senior year, he wanted to play in the SEC. After facing Georgia during his junior year, he went into the portal and seized the opportunity to suit up for the 2025 Bulldogs in Athens, Ga.
Currently, he ranks among the top performers in the SEC with a .732 slugging percentage and on-base percentage at .492. He has earned already Midseason All-America honors by multiple outlets. Burnett was named SEC Player of the Week after batting .667 with eight runs scored, two home runs and nine RBI in the series win over nationally-ranked Kentucky.
