Arkansas’ Wehiwa Aloy, whose first name means “The Prized One,” has been one of college baseball’s most electrifying all-around players in 2025.
Through 55 games this season, the Wailuku, Hawaii, native, is slashing a team-leading .358/.440/.677 with 18 home runs, fifth most among all SEC hitters, and 58 RBI. The junior shortstop, who has started every game, is well on his way to turning in one of the best offensive seasons in program history, leading the Razorbacks in nearly every major category, including batting average (.358), slugging percentage (.677), on-base plus slugging (1.117), runs scored (72), hits (82), doubles (17), home runs (18) and extra-base hits (36).
Aloy, a two-time SEC Player of the Week and Brooks Wallace Shortstop of the Year Award Watch List honoree, has also dazzled defensively with just four errors in 192 total chances (.979 fielding percentage).
