Drew Burress has proven in his three years of college baseball that he is among the most consistently dominant forces in the sport. This season, Georgia Tech’s captain caught fire midway through the campaign, leading one of the most potent offenses in college baseball with a 1.360 OPS and 20 extra-base hits since the last series of March. He leads the Atlantic Coast Conference in runs scored (71) and has served as a catalyst for the Tech lineup at the top of the order, all while playing a very strong center field with four outfield assists. Burress holds the Georgia Tech BBCOR era records for home runs and runs scored and has tied the GT career home run record (57), sharing the mark with Jason Varitek, who played for the Yellow Jackets from 1991-94.
