When it comes to run prevention, there is no better starting pitcher in college baseball than Jackson Flora. The consensus top pitcher available in this year’s Draft, Flora leads the nation in ERA and has a chance to become the first qualified UC Santa Barbara pitcher to finish a season with an ERA under 1.00.
The highlight of his 2026 campaign so far is a complete game shutout of archrivals Cal Poly, his second against the Mustangs in as many years. That dominant performance was part of a 38 1/3 scoreless innings streak, the longest verifiable streak in Gaucho history. Attacking hitters with a fastball that touches 100 mph plus a slider-sweeper combo and a devastating new changeup, Flora ranks in the top five for WHIP and fewest hits allowed per nine innings. He is also among the top 15 in strikeouts.
