TAICHUNG, Taiwan. - The 18U National Team's fifth exhibition game and third against Chinese Taipei at Taichung City Stadium was cancelled on Monday due to weather. The two teams will be back in action at Taichung City Stadium on Tuesday, August 27, at 1 a.m. ET for the final game of 18U National Team Training.
Following the conclusion of training, Team USA will travel to Gijang, South Korea, on August 28 for the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) U-18 Baseball World Cup.
Notable Information

• With the rainout, Team USA clinches the exhibition series against Chinese Taipei after winning the first two contests between the teams.
• The 2019 18U National Team is 4-0 in exhibition games with two wins against the Brewers SoCal Scout Team and two victories over Chinese Taipei.
• The U.S. owns a 25-9-1 overall record against Chinese Taipei, including wins in the first and most recent meetings between the two teams.
• This is the 18U National Team program's fifth trip to Taiwan and its third visit to Taichung.
• The 2012 18U National Team trained in the city with two international friendlies against Chinese Taipei and a matchup with the Taichung City All-Stars before heading to Seoul, South Korea, for the IBAF "AAA" World Cup.
• In 2013, the IBAF "AAA" World Cup was held in Taichung and Team USA once again trained in the city - this time with three international friendlies against Chinese Taipei - before the start of the tournament. The U.S. then stayed in Taiwan for the world championship, where it finished 8-1 with a gold medal.
• In total, the 18U National Team has played 24 games in Taiwan throughout the program's history, including 14 games in Taichung, nine in Taipei City and one in Dou Liou.
• The 2019 18U National Team is training in Taichung Stadium for the third time in its history, having played seven games there in 2012 and 2013.

• First pitch of the final exhibition game between the U.S. and Chinese Taipei will be at 1 a.m. ET at Taichung City Stadium in Taichung, Taiwan, on Tuesday, August 27.
• Team USA will open WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup play against South Africa on Friday, August 30, at 6 a.m. ET.
