Dallas Tigers 2022 - Polk Shuts Out DreamChasers Academy in Defensive Battle

Jupiter, Fla. - Dallas Tigers 2022 - Polk came out with a 2-0 win in a defensive battle versus DreamChasers Academy in Friday's Game of the Day at the National Team Championships in Florida.
Both teams were held scoreless until the top of the fourth inning when Dallas Tigers scored two to take the lead. Jayson Jones (1-for-3) hit a leadoff single but was tagged out advancing to second while Trenton Shaw (1-for-3) reached first on a fielder's choice. Shaw advanced to third on a single from Jordan Lawler (1-for-3) and went on to score on a wild pitch. A sacrifice fly from Walker Polk (0-for-2) brought Lawler home for the second run.
The rest of the game saw only two hits, both coming from DreamChasers in the bottom of the seventh. Ryan Spikes (1-for-3) and Josh Hartle (1-for-3) hit back-to-back singles before a walk loaded the bases, but DreamChasers couldn't bring a runner home.
Jared Thomas (1-0) got the win for Dallas Tigers, pitching five innings with zero runs on two hits. The loss went to DreamChasers' Nick Kurtz (0-1), who threw for two runs on five hits with one strikeout.
Dallas Tigers 2022 - Polk advanced to 3-0 in the tournament to be one of the four remaining undefeated teams going into tomorrow's third day of pool play.
