PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla.- Amai Martinez was named the Player of the Day at the USA Baseball 14U National Team Championships in Florida on Friday. Martinez of Kangaroo Court Roos 14U was 3-for-3 with a double, a triple and two runs batted in. He also earned the win on the mound in an 8-0 victory.
Christopher Harbert of Team Brave was named the Pitcher of the Day. Harbert threw five complete innings allowing two hits with seven strikeouts on the day.
