3D Gold Cruises Past Team Kado Hawaii In Semifinal Game

PEORIA, Ariz.- 3D Gold was victorious in Friday's Semifinal matchup at the National Team Championships in Arizona with an 11-2 win over Team Kado Hawaii.
With the win, 3D Gold advances to the Gold Medal Game in hopes to earn its first ever Gold Medal at the National Team Championships.
3D Gold jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the top of the second inning on a pair of singles that were followed up by a double that plated the first three runs of the game.
A six-run fourth inning from 3D gold would put the game out of reach. Six runs on two hits and a series of walks and errors brought the score to 9-0 heading into the fifth.
The 11th run for 3D Gold came on an error in the top of the fifth while Team Kado added two runs in the bottom half of the inning. The Mercy Rule came into play and the final score was 11-2.
Max Burt led the offense for 3D Gold going two-for-three on the day with a team high four runs batted in. Jeremiah Lono of Team Kado, was two-for-three with one run batted in.
Louis Rodriguez earned the win in Friday's matchup pitching five innings while allowing only two runs on seven hits with seven strikeouts. Jaydon Kea was given the loss, tossing one and a thirds inning and giving up two runs on one hit.
3D Gold will face Pacific Baseball Academy tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. in the Gold Medal Game at the National Team Championships in Arizona.
