FLOWER MOUND, Texas -- The 2021 12U National Team will look to finish its three-game set undefeated when it takes on the Texas Scrappers at 11:00 a.m. CT/12:00 p.m. ET at Bakersfield Park in Flower Mound, Texas. The game will be streamed live on the USA Baseball Facebook Page.
Notable Information
- Team USA hit seven home runs in Sunday's 22-0 win over Premier National.
- Easton Brunson (Highlands, Texas) cranked three homers in the win on Sunday. He drove in a team-high seven runs.
- Seven players had multi-hit games for the red, white, and blue on Sunday. Brunson and Jared Grindlinger (Huntington Beach, Calif.) led the offensive attack with three hits apiece.
- Brady Bickham (Huntington Beach, Calif.), Brunson, and Grindlinger combined for 10 of Team USA's 22 runs.
- The 2021 12U National Team was announced on Thursday after four days of Trials, which featured three games, daily on-field workouts, and Prospect Development Pipeline (PDP) testing.
- The roster features players from 10 different states. California features the most players on the roster with five, while Texas has three players on the team.
- The team comprises 13 athletes who competed in the 2021 USA Baseball 11U Futures Invitational in June. The other five players on the roster participated in the 2021 National Team Identification Series (NTIS) Champions Cup in August. Both events were held at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina.
- The 2021 12U National Team is managed by RJ Farrell, who has previously served as an assistant coach with the 12U National Team three times. It is his national team managerial debut.
- Farrell is joined on staff by pitching coach Seth Kenny and assistant coaches, Erik Johnson and Tanner Vesely. Johnson and Kenny will make their national team coaching debuts, while Vesely, who led the 2015 12U National Team to gold as manager at the 2015 World Baseball Softball Confederation U-12 Baseball World Cup, is on the staff for the fourth time.
