GOODYEAR, Ariz - On day one of playoff action at the 14U National Team Championships in Arizona, Jacob Hudson hit a walkoff single on an 0-2 count to knock in the game-winning run, propelling Trosky Baseball 14U National to a 12-11 win over Team Kado California. In the high-powered offensive matchup, both teams combined to put up three innings with 5+ runs scored on Friday morning at Goodyear Ballpark.

Hudson stepped up to the plate with runners on first and second and two outs. He fouled off his first two pitches and then perfectly placed a single to left off an 0-2 pitch to win for his team.

In the back-and-forth matchup, Kado got on the board first with a two-run first inning. Trosky responded with five runs of their own in the bottom of the second, but Kado again used their potent offense, knocking two singles, a double and three walks to take the lead to make the score 8-6 after three frames.

TJ Peters led Trosky offensively, going a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate, scoring three runs and hitting in one RBI in the matchup. Grant Govel and Journey Leialoha were also major contributors, with both knocking in three RBI each off two hits. Six of the nine starters for Trosky secured a hit today.

Several on Kado notched multi-hit mornings as well, with Christopher Mata and Nathaniel Wagner putting up two hits for their team.
