The competition narrows as eight teams shrink to only the final two. Catch up on the big moments from the day below.

Quarterfinals
Trosky/Milwaukee Brewers Scout Team 8, Trosky National 0
It was all Trosky/Milwaukee Brewers Scout Team to open up the quarterfinals in Surprise. An explosive four runs in the fifth inning, including a single from Cody McLean put the run rule into place helped Trosky/Milwaukee Brewers earn a semifinal berth with the 8-0 win. Drew Wagner led the way offensively going 2-for-3 at the plate in addition to an RBI and two runs scored. Mateo Rodriguez set the tone from the mound, only allowing one hit in his complete game effort.

GBG National 10, Stacked AZ 0
GBG National jumped on Stacked AZ from the get go, plating five runs in the top of the first to help get the job done in just four innings. Ryan Shabazian fired up the offense early, going 2-for-3 with two RBIs. In the heart of the lineup, Oliver Schoppmann helped keep the offense sparked, going 2-for-2 with an additional two RBIs. Will Necessary pitched a strong 4.0 innings on the hill in his complete game with one strikeout.

TB SoCal Evoshield 5, MBA Navy 2
Offensive timing and execution was the secret to success for TB SoCal Evoshield, only scoring in three of the seven innings played to make their way to the semifinals. The pitching staff was on top of their game, making up a combined 11 strikeouts of the 21 total outs. Wyatt Kargas threw a dominant six strikeouts in his 3.2 IP, and allowed only two hits and one earned run. Caden Ceman posted a game-high of two hits and came across the plate to score in the headline performance.

Scottsdale Dirtbags 7, Baum Bat NW 3
A back-and-forth battle was the name of the game until a Richard Avina two-run homer gave Scottsdale Dirtbags a lead they never turned back on. Avina led the game with four RBI on top of his monstrous 3-for-4 plate performance. An RBI single from EJ Washington and two-run double by Avina in the top of the seventh helped rack up the insurance runs the Dirtbags needed to close out the quarterfinals with a big time victory. Pitcher Brendan Cupido showed no signs of doubt in his 7.0 IP, throwing 10 strikeouts in a complete game for the Dirtbags ace.

Semifinals
Trosky/Milwaukee Brewers Scout Team 5, GBG National 4
The first action of the semifinals was headlined by a four-run second inning by Trosky/Milwaukee Brewers Scout Team, as the early start gave them momentum from the jump. Designated hitter Colton Kocher dominated offensively, going a perfect 3-for-3 with a team best three RBIs and a run scored. His efforts were complimented by first baseman Dayton Kellner turning in a 2-for-4 effort at the dish with an RBI knock, which was the eventual game-winning run. With GBG threatening late in the seventh, pitcher Cody McLean was called upon to record the final out. McLean found a new gear and got the GBG batter to strikeout looking, sending his team into the gold medal game while doing so.

TB SoCal Evoshield 4, Scottsdale Dirtbags 2
TB SoCal Evoshield rode a balanced attack on both sides of the ball with contributions up and down the lineup all morning. Catcher Konrad Butler led the way on offense with two RBIs, while first baseman Mason Valles landed the lethal blow with a sixth-inning RBI double to put Scottsdale away for good. Pitcher Ely Oleson rounded out a gutsy 4.1 innings in relief with squandering the Dirtbags’ comeback hopes in the seventh with an efficient outing to post a final statline of 4.1 innings, two hits, no runs, two walks and six strikeouts en route to a championship berth.
