Tennessee’s Gavin Kilen Named Golden Spikes Player of the Week

CARY, N.C. – After four consecutive multi-hit outings that featured a combined five home runs, Tennessee’s Gavin Kilen has been USA Baseball’s Golden Spikes Award Week 3 Player of the Week presented by Chinook Seedery and DI Baseball.

Kilen led the team in every major offensive category last week and helped the Vols go undefeated to claim the 2025 Astros Foundation College Classic title in Houston.

In the Vols’ midweek matchup against North Alabama on February 25, he went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and a home run. At the Astros Foundation College Classic, he tallied nine hits, seven runs, and seven RBIs across three games. He started the weekend with back-to-back two homer games in wins over Oklahoma State and Rice, and finished with a pair of hits in the squad’s finale against Arizona.

He slashed .611/.677/1.611 over the four games, and seven of his 11 hits on the week were for extra bases.
