TAINAN, Taiwan - Friday's contest between the USA Baseball 12U National Team and the Czech Republic was postponed due to rain with the U.S. leading 11-0 in the top of the third inning. The game will resume on Saturday, August 2, at midnight ET at ASPAC B stadium in Tainan, Taiwan.
Team USA will now conclude the 2019 World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) U-12 Baseball World Cup on Saturday, August 2, with a doubleheader. The U.S. and the Czech Republic will complete its scheduled game at ASPAC B Stadium, before the red, white and blue, takes on South Africa at 2 a.m. ET.

• Josiah Hartshorn (Anaheim, Calif.) led off the top of the first for Team USA with a single up the middle before stealing second base. Lucas Tinajero (Corpus Christi, Texas) drew a walk in the next at-bat to put runners on first and second.
• Gavin Fien (Temecula, Calif.) doubled down the right-field line two pitches later to clear the bases and give the U.S. a 2-0 lead.
• Dillon Adkins (Mechanicsville, Md.) continued the scoring for Team USA two batters later with a three-run homer that sailed out of the stadium, giving the red, white and blue a 5-0 advantage.
• Lucas Tinajero then hit his third home run of the tournament with an opposite-field home run that scored two to give Team USA a 9-0 advantage heading into the bottom of the first.
• Team USA added a pair of runs in the bottom of the second after Rashad Hayes (Oakland, Calif.) and Lo Re hit an RBI-double and an RBI-single, respectively, to stretch the lead to 11-0.
• Friday's contest will resume on Saturday, August 3, at 12 a.m. ET with Jack Ruckert at the plate and two outs in the top of the third.
