Major League Baseball today announced details for the 2025 MLB Draft Combine, which will take place from June 17th-21st at Chase Field in Phoenix, the home of the Arizona Diamondbacks, for the third consecutive year.
In 2024, 224 of the 305 players who participated in the Combine were selected in the MLB Draft (73.4%), including 75 of the first 100 picks. As the Combine continues to grow, the event’s impact is being felt across the game with 50 previous Combine participants already on a 40-man roster (including 34 since last year’s Combine), and 45 Combine participants have made their Major League debuts as of May 22, 2025. The top 300 Draft-eligible players, as identified by MLB Clubs, have been invited to attend the 2025 Draft Combine along with up to 50 supplemental invites. The Combine will provide an opportunity for players to participate in a series of medical and performance assessments as well as educational programming designed to prepare them for careers in professional baseball. All players will have the opportunity to participate in a pro-style showcase workout, as well as strength and performance assessments. Additionally, high school players will have the option to participate in a live game against other high school Combine attendees.
As part of the Combine experience, attendees will benefit from the opportunity to interview and interact directly with Major League Club general managers and scouting directors, as well as an enhanced medical evaluation process. Attendees also will interact with notable MLB players and former managers. In addition, prospects will have opportunities to be featured on MLB social media channels, in addition to receiving personal branding training and access to real-time content and custom video for their own platforms.
MLB Network will have exclusive coverage live from Chase Field on Tuesday, June 17th, beginning at 1:00 p.m. ET. MLB Network’s stable of personalities – including Greg Amsinger, Alex Avila, Lance Brozdowski, Jim Callis, Jared Carrabis, Al Leiter, Mike Lowell, Dan O’Dowd, Harold Reynolds and Buck Showalter – will provide analysis and breakdowns as the players undergo their pro-style showcase workout. Interviews with players and Club personnel will also be featured as part of the coverage. The network’s coverage on June 17 will also be streamed live on MLB.TV, MLB.com and in the MLB App. The High School Showcase game on the evening of the 17th and the workouts on June 18 will be streamed on MLB’s digital platforms.
