
CARY, N.C. – Wake Forest’s Kade Lewis had a hot week at the plate to help his team pick up three quality wins en route to earning Golden Spikes Award x D1 Baseball Week 10 Player of the Week honors.
Lewis batted .714 (10-for-14) in four games, helping the Demon Deacons win its midweek matchup against seventh-ranked Coastal Carolina and its series win over NC State. He tallied a pair of hits along with a run and an RBI against the Chanticleers, and took that momentum into the series with the Wolfpack by going 8-for-10 with five runs, four walks, and nine RBIs. Lewis managed to homer in all three games against NC State to bring his season total to eight.
The junior infielder currently leads Wake Forest in batting average (.367) and hits (58), and ranks top four in eight other offensive categories.
