CARY, N.C. – USA Baseball today named the roster for the 2026 15U National Team, which will compete in the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) U-15 Baseball World Cup from September 25 to October 4 in Mexico.
The final 20-player roster was named following the conclusion of 15U National Team Training Camp Phase 2, which featured 32 players competing in intrasquad scrimmages and workouts at the National Training Complex from September 16-18.
“We are excited to finalize the roster for this year’s 15U National Team,” said 15U National Team Manager Casey Scott. “Both phases of 15U National Team Training Camp were high-energy and competitive, leading to a difficult decision-making process for the entire coaching staff. The final roster is one that we are extremely confident in, and are excited to compete with this team as we pursue a World Cup title in Mexico.”
The 2026 roster features seven USA Baseball national team alumni, with all seven having been on either the 2023 12U National Team World Cup Qualifier roster, World Cup roster, or both. Tyler Early, a Richard W. “Dick” Case Award recipient and 2023 USA Baseball Player of the Year, earns a spot on the roster after helping lead both the World Cup Qualifier team and World Cup squad to gold medals. Bryant Ju, Michael Ohman, and Greyson Wuis also bring experience from both teams. Additionally, Paris Head and Raylen Hunter will each pursue a second gold medal in a World Cup setting, while Nate Handley-White will make his second appearance donning the stars and stripes in Mexico after helping lead the World Cup Qualifier team to a gold medal in Aguascalientes, Mexico.
Eleven players on the roster have participated in USA Baseball national team development programming. Matti Di Maggio, Handley-White, Head, Ju, Calvin Madenspacher, Jackson McAneeley, Ohman, Brandon Sweeney, and Noah Vrzal boast 2025 13U/14U Athlete Development Program (ADP) experience, while Early competed at both the 2024 and 2025 editions of the event. In addition, Chris Worrell Jr., the youngest player on the roster, was identified at and participated at this past summer’s 13U/14U ADP.
In addition, Head boasts experience in past development events jointly hosted in partnership with Major League Baseball. The Chicago, Illinois, native participated at this past summer’s Hank Aaron Invitational, while also having played at the Breakthrough Series, DREAM Series, and ID Tour.
Twelve states are represented on the 2026 15U National Team roster, with California leading all states with four players, while Alabama follows with three players. Florida and Texas each boast a pair of athletes, while nine states–Arizona, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Louisiana, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Virginia, Wisconsin–each account for a player apiece.
The final roster announcement comes following the conclusion of 15U National Team Training Camp, which was held in two phases (August 6-9 and September 16-18). The initial phase of Training Camp consisted of 64 players, while Phase 2 hosted 32 athletes at the National Training Complex. Both phases of Training Camp included intrasquad scrimmages, on-field workouts, while Phase 1 also featured Prospect Development Pipeline (PDP) Performance Assessments.
The 2026 15U National Team will be led by the same coaching staff that guided last year’s gold medal-winning squad. Three-time Team USA coach Casey Scott returns as manager for a second consecutive summer, while two-time Team USA medalist and former 15U National Team manager Drew Briese serves as pitching coach. Four-time assistant coach Steve Butler returns to the dugout, and JD Pruitt will make his second straight stint as assistant coach. The WBSC U-15 Baseball World Cup features 12 nations and is set for September 25 to October 4, taking place in two locations: Cancún, Quintana Roo, and Mérida, Yucatán. In the Opening Round (September 25-29), Group B, including Team USA, will compete at Estadio Beto Ávila, while the Super Round and Medal Round (October 1-4) will take place at Parque Kukulcán Alamo, in Mérida. Australia, Chinese Taipei, Czechia, Nicaragua, and Venezuela will play alongside Team USA in Group B, while Cuba, Dominican Republic, Germany, Mexico, South Africa, and the defending champion, Japan, make up Group A. The top three finishers from each group after group play in the Opening Round will advance to the Super Round.
The 15U National Team is in pursuit of its third World Cup title in program history and eighth gold medal in international competition. The United States captured its first World Cup at the 15-and-under level in 2018, while its last title came in the team’s last World Cup appearance in 2022 under then-manager Briese and assistant coach Butler. The 15U National Team is no stranger to competing in Mexico. Four of the program’s seven gold medals in international competition have come in events played in Mexico, including last year’s gold-medal run in Ciudad Juárez.
Prior to the WBSC U-15 Baseball World Cup, the team will participate in workouts and scrimmages across four days of training at the National Training Complex from September 19-22. The U.S. will open World Cup play against Czechia in Cancún, Mexico, on September 25 at 2:30 p.m. ET.
