CARY, N.C. – USA Baseball’s 2026 18U National Team Training Camp Phase 2 concluded its Stars vs. Stripes series on Wednesday afternoon at the National Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina. The contest saw Stars earn a 3-2 victory over Stripes in walk-off fashion and finish 4-0 on the week.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first inning went scoreless before Stripes got on the board in the second. Lubin Rincon led off with a triple to right field and later scored on a wild pitch to give Stripes a 1-0 lead.
- Stars tied it up in the bottom of the third as Leo Nockley doubled before Sebastian Castillo singled him home to even the score at 1-1.
- Stripes retook the lead in the fifth. Cooper Collins led off with a single to left field and later scored on a wild pitch to put Stripes ahead 2-1.
- The next three innings went scoreless before Stars had one final chance in the bottom of the ninth. Chase Fuller tripled to right field before Jose Partida drew a walk to put two runners aboard. With two outs, Jack Swanson knocked an RBI double to complete the 3-2 walk-off victory.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Both starting pitchers, Stripes’ Liam Radke and Stars’ Partida struck out five in their three innings of work, the most of all pitchers.
- Castillo, Fuller, Max Hemenway, and Rincon led all batters with two hits each.
- Collins, Fuller, Nockley, Partida, and Rincon each scored one run.
- Swanson led all batters with two RBIs.
- Kyler Meccage tossed three innings, with four strikeouts and zero walks.
- Jordan Ayala, Camden Boehm, Jake Ivey, Kohen Poplin, Tyler Ransom, and Isaac Vidal each turned in scoreless outings.

- Following the conclusion of Training Camp, the final roster for USA Baseball’s 2026 18U National Team will be announced Wednesday evening.
