PHOENIX- Ricky Tiedemann of MVP Hustle (16U) has been named Player of the Day after his fantastic all-around performance in two playoff games on Thursday. In wins over San Diego Stars and GBG I.E., Tiedemann was 3-for-8 from the plate with two doubles, two runs scored and a run batted in. He also started the latter contest, throwing a complete game shutout. Tiedemann allowed just three hits and struck out 11 in the victory.
ABQ Guns' (14U) Britt Albritton has been named Pitcher of the Day. Albritton tossed a complete game shutout of his own against Players Choice Academy 14U, allowing just two hits and two walks to go along with 12 strikeouts.
