PRD 1, Top Tier Select 0
Combining for a complete game shutout, PRD's pitching staff dominated the game en route to a 1-0 victory over Top Tier Select. Mateo Mier and Jake Abrams combined for seven innings of work, giving up just three hits while striking out 13. Scoring the lone run of the game in the bottom of the fourth, PRD used an RBI single by Romeo De La Torre, which was all they needed to secure the win.
USA Prime National 9, Performance Baseball National 0
Winning in commanding fashion, USA Prime National secured a 9-0 win over Performance Baseball National. A strong performance at the plate saw nine hits for USA Prime National, highlighted by a two-run homer by Andrew Brown and an RBI triple by Xavier Rodriguez. Dominating on the mound as well, the pitching staff for USA Prime National combined for five shutout innings, only allowing two hits and picking up five strikeouts to earn a mercy rule victory.
SBA Bolts National 6, Texas Twelve Red Sox 5
With 12 hits combined in the contest, SBA Bolts National edged out the Texas Twelve Red Sox in a one-run ball game. A big fifth inning ended up being the difference in the game for SBA Bolts National, with two RBI doubles courtesy of Nathan Malone and Adriel Cartegena highlighting the inning. Owen Duncan closed out the game for SBA, going 1.1 innings of work, not allowing a hit, and striking out three.
Wow Factor National 5, Top Dawg National 4
Having the winning run come across to score in the bottom of the fourth, Wow Factor National held on to its one-run lead until the end of the game. With only eight total hits in the contest, Wow Factor National plated four runs across the first two frames of the game on three RBI singles, with the winning run scored on a fielder's choice.
USA Prime National 11, Top Tier Select 1
Scoring all 11 runs in two of the six frames, USA Prime National recorded 11 hits and controlled the game from start to finish. Plating five runs in the top of the second, Jordan Owens hit a two-RBI double, highlighting the inning. Striking again at the top of the sixth, USA Prime National scored six runs and had a big blast with Cooper Holland hitting a two-run homer. Talon Sweat tossed 5.2 innings of one-run ball, while striking out nine and earning the win.
Performance Baseball National 8, PRD 4
Using nine hits to score eight runs, Performance Baseball National earned a victory over PRD with a plethora of offense. A key third inning saw Performance Baseball National score five runs with three RBI doubles. Leyton Saliba came out of the pen to close out the game for Performance Baseball National, recording all three of his outs from strikeouts to get his team the win.
Texas Twelve Red Sox 5, Wow Factor National 4
Yet another tight contest saw the Texas Twelve Red Sox beat Wow Factor National by one run. Having two multi-run innings, the Texas Twelve Red Sox used an RBI single and an RBI double to score two runs in the second frame. Scoring their last run of the game on a sac-bunt, Texas Twelve held on to its one-run lead and secured the win.
SBA Bolts National 8, Top Dawg National 5
With 13 runs total scored in the game, SBA Bolts National was able to get the best of Top Dawg National with a score of 8-5. SBA Bolts Nationals' offensive highlights included two RBI triples from Nathan Malone and Owen Duncan. Chase Thomas gave SBA great length out of the bullpen, going four innings of work, only allowing one run and striking out seven on the way to victory.
FTB Phillies Scout 4, Elite RBI Banditos National 3
A close game saw FTB Phillies narrowly get past Elite RBI Banditos National with the winning run scoring in the sixth frame. Both teams traded a pair of runs in the first frame, with the next run coming across in the third. Tyler Early hit a deep home run to right field, giving the Elite RBI Banditos a 3-2 lead. With the game on the line late, the FTB Phillies brought home two runs in the sixth and held onto the lead to win 4-3.
Canes National 7, Alpha Prime 0
Outhitting their opposition nine-to-two, Canes National scored seven runs across two frames and shut out the Alpha Prime lineup. An aggressive fourth frame saw Canes National put up four runs off two RBI singles and an RBI double. Continuing their momentum in the fifth frame, Kannon Derry smacked a three-run homer, solidifying the lead and earning Canes National the win.
CBA/Orioles Scout Team 6, ZT National Prospects 5
A chaotic seventh frame saw CBA score four runs in the seventh to take the lead and hold it to victory. Both teams traded runs in the first inning, with ZT leaving the inning up 2-1. ZT extended the lead in the second with an RBI single by Jordan Leon, taking a 3-1 lead. CBA rallied late in the game, scoring 5 runs in the final two frames with three runs scored on walks. ZT responded with two runs of its own, highlighted by a Carter Nash RBI single, but it wouldn’t be enough, with CBA earning a 6-5 win.
Team Elite 5, Wildcatters National 5
With 12 hits total in the game, Team Elite and Wildcatters National fought hard but ultimately tied 5-5. Scoring four runs across the first two frames, Team Elite got off to a hot start highlighted by an RBI double from Mason Devine. After scoring off a defensive miscue, Wildcatters National scored four runs in the third to take a 5-4 lead. Jax Choi brought in the next run for Team Elite on an RBI single, and that 5-5 score held until the end.
