RBA South Phillies 4, Canes Barbour 2

RBA South Phillies used a three-run fourth inning to defeat Canes Barbour 4-2 on Friday at the National Training Complex in Cary, N.C.
After three scoreless innings, it was RBA South Phillies who got on the board first in the top of the fourth. Matthew Rollins singled on a hard ground ball to left field that plated two runs. Cole Feldman stole home and scored the third run of the fourth inning. 
Both RBA South Phillies and Canes Barbour scored a run in the sixth. Canes Barbour scored a run in the bottom of the seventh, but it would be their last.
Josh Rudd earned the win for RBA South Phillies after five innings pitched. Colin Kimball suffered the loss for Canes Barbour.
RBA South Phillies improved to 1-0, while Canes Barbour fell to 0-1. 


Bel Air Braves 7, NCBA White 6

The Bel Air Braves scored five runs late to come from behind and defeat NCBA White 7-6 on Friday at the National Training Complex in Cary, N.C.
NCBA White got out to an early lead in the top of the first and scored three runs. After a scoreless second inning, the Bel Air Braves plated two runs of their own after Alex Smith and Conner Propes both hit RBI-singles.
NCBA White scored their last two runs of the game in the top of the fourth after RBI-singles from Ethan Norby an Wyatt Stanley. Down by four runs in the bottom of the fifth, the Bel Air Braves cut the deficient to three when Braeden Rock scored on a wild pitch. The Bel Air Braves added two more runs in the sixth and brought the game within one run. The Bel Air Braves took the lead and sealed the game in the bottom of the seventh after Smith singled to center field and plated the final two runs of the game.
Tommy Harrison earned the win for Bel Air Braves after three innings pitched and recording six strikeouts. Bryce England suffered the loss for NCBA White.
The Bel Air Braves improved to 1-0, while NCBA White fell to 0-1. 


East Coast Clippers 5, Mid Maryland United 4

East Coast Clippers used an early lead to defeat Mid Maryland United 5-4 on Friday at the National Training Complex in Cary, N.C.
East Coast Clippers jumped out to a quick lead in the bottom of the second when Jacob Whaley hit a two-run RBI-single to right field. The next batter, Aiden Rice, hit an RBI-single to center field that brought Whaley home from first. 
Mid Maryland United was able to plate a run in the third thanks to a sacrifice-fly to right field from Josh Skowronski. In the same inning, East Coast Clippers were able to tack their final two runs of the game thanks to an RBI-single from Ryan Hench and a sacrifice-fly from Charles McDowell. With the score 5-2, Mid Maryland United scored two more runs but would be held from there.
Matthew Hall earned the win for East Coast Clippers. E.J. Lowry suffered the loss for Mid Maryland United. 
East Coast Clippers are now 1-0 in the tournament, while Mid Maryland United fell to 0-1. 


TPA Nationals 8, Virginia Cardinals 6

TPA Nationals started off the 2019 14U Cup undefeated after beating Virginia Cardinals 8-6 Friday afternoon at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina. 
TPA Nationals wasted no time getting on the board as they posted two runs in the first inning, four in the second, and two more in the third to jump out to an early 8-0 lead over Virginia Cardinals.
A single got the Cardinals on the board in the bottom of the third, and they began to rally from there. In the fourth, they took advantage of two walks and two singles to score four more runs and cut the deficit to 8-6, but the score would remain there and the TPA Nationals came out the victors.
TPA Nationals will play again on Friday as they take on the East Coast Clippers at 5 pm while the Virginia Cardinals will do battle with Mid Maryland United at the same time.


Team Elite American 3, Syracuse Sports Zone

Team Elite American narrowly defeated Syracuse Sports Zone by a score of 3-2 Friday at the 2019 14U Cup in Cary, North Carolina.
Syracuse Sports Zone was first to strike in the contest after Michael Stellrecht grounded out to the shortstop to drive in the first run of the game and give Syracuse Sports Zone the 1-0 lead. Team Elite American struck back by scoring a run of its own in the next inning, bringing the game to a 1-1 tie.
Syracuse Sports Zone added another in the fourth but the lead would not last long once again as Team Elite American scored two in the bottom of the fifth to take the 3-2 lead. The game would finish with at that score, putting Team Elite American at 1-0 to begin the 2019 14U Cup while Syracuse Sports Zone fell to 0-1.
Syracuse Sports Zone will play Saturday at 2:00 pm as they take on Blue Chips and Team Elite American will play at the same time as they match up against NW Elite.


Rawlings Prospects 2, NCDB Rivercats 1

Rawlings Prospects shined on the mound and plated two to defeat NCDB Rivercats 2-1 and remain undefeated at the 14U Cup in Cary, North Carolina on Friday.
The only runs of the game for Rawlings Prospects came in the bottom of the first as they started the game off with back-to-back-to-back hits. In total, they plated two runs on the backs of three hits and two walks.
That was all the offensive support they would need as three Rawlings Prospects pitchers combined to allow just one run on two hits while striking out seven. Dylan Laws (1-0) earned the win after tossing two scoreless innings while Jackson Thomas (0-1) took the loss.
Both Rawlings Prospects and NCDB Rivercats will play on Saturday at 5:00 pm.


Canes Barbour 7, NCBA White 1

Canes Barbour scored six runs in extra innings to defeat NCBA White 7-1 on Friday at the National Training Complex in Cary, N.C.
It was a classic pitcher's duel for both teams for most of the game. NCBA White scored first after Davis Gore grounded into a fielder's choice, allowing Wyatt Stanley to cross the plate. It was until the top of the sixth that Canes Barbour were able to respond and tie the game up thanks to a sacrifice-fly from Luke Brown. 
Canes Barbour found their offense in the top of the eight, scoring six runs led by an RBI-single from Brett Fuller and an RBI-double from Tyler White. NCBA White was unable to answer in the bottom of the eight
White earned the victory for Canes Barbour after six innings pitched. Gage Miller suffered the loss for NCBA White.
Canes Barbour improves to 1-1, while NCBA White fell to 0-2. 


Mid Maryland United 3, Virginia Cardinals 2

Travis Remsberg tossed a complete game gem on the mound for Mid Maryland United to help his squad secure the 3-2 victory over the Virginia Cardinals Friday at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina.
Remsberg was lights out on the bump, giving his bullpen the night off by tossing seven strong innings of two-run baseball. He allowed seven hits and walked one while striking out one. Remsberg (1-0) earned the win for his efforts while Thomas Cook (0-1) took the loss.
On the offensive side of the ball, Cody Furman was a catalyst for Mid Maryland United, going 2-for-3 at the dish while driving in a run and crossing the plate. He was responsible for two of the three Mid Maryland United runs.
The loss is the second the of the day for the Virginia Cardinals. They fall to 0-2 at the 2019 14U Cup, while Mid Maryland United move to 1-1. Both will play tomorrow at 2:00 pm ET.


Huguenot Huskies 6, Tri State Arsenal 5

Huguenot Huskies used a five-run third inning to defeat Tri State Arsenal 6-5 on Friday at the National Training Complex in Cary, N.C.
Tri State Arsenal scored first in the top of the second inning after an RBI-walk from Bryce Dail and an RBI-single from Ashton Donathan. Huguenot Huskies' offense tallied five runs in the bottom of the third led by Justin Spiegel and Eli Self who both hit RBI-singles. 
Tri State Arsenal tied the game up in the top of the fourth with an RBI-single from Jackson Kuhn and Donathon and an RBI-double from Dail, making the score 5-5. Huguenot Huskies' responded in the bottom of the fifth and took the lead when Self reached first on a catcher's interference call, allowing Cooper Meads to score and seal the game.
Hunter Robinson earned the win for Huguenot Huskies. Dail suffered the loss for Tri State Arsenal.
Huguenot Huskies improved to 1-0, while Tri State Arsenal fell to 0-1. 


East Coast Clippers 9, TPA National 1

East Coast Clippers exploded for nine runs to defeat TPA National 9-1 Friday evening at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina.
Three players had a multi-hit performance for the East Coast Clippers, including Jaxon Lucas, Charles McDowell and Jacob Whaley. The trio combined for 8-for-11 with two RBIs and five runs scored. In total, the East Coast Clippers put runs on the board in four of seven innings, tallying 13 hits in the process.
On the mound, five pitchers combined to allow just one run on three hits while striking out 10. Jacob Whaley (1-0) earned the win while Lance Phillips (0-1) was tagged with the loss.
With the win, the East Coast Clippers move to 2-0 at the 2019 14U Cup while TPA Nationals fall to 1-1. Both teams will play Saturday at 2:00 pm ET
