DURHAM, N.C. - The 2021 15U National Team Trials Stars vs. Stripes Series is set for its fifth and final game on Thursday at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina. First pitch is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. ET.

The Stripes scored four runs in each of the game's first four innings on Wednesday, clinching the series with an 18-2 victory over the Stripes. Dean Hannah (Waco, Texas) led the Stripes' offense with three hits, while the trio of Xavier Neyens (Mount Vernon, Wash.), Ethan Puig (Miami, Fla.), and Michael Torres (Miami, Fla.) each had two-hit games, combining to drive in seven runs.

The Stripes are 3-1 entering the final game of the series, while the Stripes sit at 1-3.

Notable Information

• With his three-hit perfomance for the Stripes on Wednesday, Hannah raised his series-best average to .750 (6-for-8).
• After starting the series 8-for-8, Stripes' infielder Carson Page (Hahira, Ga.) has stayed hot and is batting .692 (9-for-13) in the series.
• The Stripes tallied a series-high 18 hits on Wednesday, and have now totaled a double-digit output in three of their four games.
• Masa Chilcutt (San Antonio, Texas) got on base in all four of his plate appearances for the Stars on Wednesday, going 2-for-2 with a pair of walks.
• The roster comprises 44 of the best 15-and-under players from across the entire country, selected by the USA Baseball Task Force throughout several different identification events.
• Eight USA Baseball national team alumni are on the roster, including five gold-medal winners (Tristan Bristow, Chilcutt, Kailand Halstead, Dean Moss, and Torres).
• The roster features athletes from 17 different states, with Texas leading the way with seven selections. California and Florida both have six players on the roster.
• Halpert is making his USA Baseball managerial debut after serving as an assistant coach on the gold-medal winning 2019 15U National Team, which won gold at the WBSC U-15 Baseball World Cup Americas Qualifier. He is currently in his sixth season at the helm of Harvard-Westlake School (Studio City, Calif.).
• The Stripes are led by manager Steve Butler, while the Stars are managed by Jeff Sherman. Both managers are assistant coaches for the 15U National Team.
• The 2021 15U National Team roster will be announced on September 2, at the conclusion of trials.
