Jupiter, Fla. - Christopher Hormann of GBG Northeast 14U was named the Player of the Day for Friday, June 28 at the National Team Championships in Florida. The catcher hit 2-for-3 with a triple, three RBIs and a run of his own in their 15-1 win over East Orlando Tigers.
Meridian Panthers' Grant Garrett has earned the Pitcher of the Day title. Garrett helped his team to a 5-1 win over Columbus HS White, pitching six of the seven innings. He threw for no runs on four hits and struck out six batters during his time on the mound.
