Pacific Baseball Academy Wins In Walk-Off Fashion Over Wilson Sandlot 2022

PEORIA, Ariz.- Pacific Baseball Academy (PBA) earned the 7-6 win over Wilson Sandlot 2022 on a walk-off single by Jaffe in the bottom of the seventh inning.
With the victory, PBA secures a spot in tomorrow's 14U Gold Medal Game at the National Team Championships in Arizona.
PBA struck first putting up a two-spot in the bottom of the second inning. A single moved a runner from first who reached on a hit-by pitch, and the very next batter found a gap in left field to bring the score to 2-0.
Wilson Sandlot took the 3-2 lead in the top of the fourth inning, and in the fifth a sacrifice fly from PBA knotted the game at three.
A big inning from PBA in the sixth frame brought the lead to 6-3 but Wilson Sandlot answered right back and tied it up in the top of the seventh inning to make the score 6-6.
In the bottom of the seventh inning, a pair of singles put two on for PBA. A sacrifice bunt moved the runners over, and a one-out single by Jaffe to the right side scored the winning run.
Easton Rull highlighted the offense for PBA going two-for-four with two runs batted in. For Wilson Sandlot, Bailey Gray was three-for-four with one run batted in.
Ryan Egan earned the save on Friday throwing three complete innings allowing three runs on three hits with three strikeouts. Jack Minhinnick was given the loss hurling one inning and allowing one run on four hits.
PBA will face 3D Gold in the Gold Medal Game tomorrow at Peoria Stadium. First pitch is set for 10:00 a.m.
