PHOENIX — Henry Phifer drilled a home run, hit safely three times and drove in five runs to collect Player of the Day honors for July 3 at the 15U National Team Championships Arizona.

Phifer, whose Alpha Prime 2024 squad moved to 4-0 with an 11-3 victory against TB SoCal Easton, delivered a go-ahead, three-run blast in the third inning, singled home a run in the fourth and plated a fifth run with a single in the sixth.

The 6-foot-1 Phifer also stole one base in the win.

Phifer owns a .462/.533/.769 slash line through four games at the tournament and has collected at least one hit in three of the four contests. His seven total RBI pace the team.

Alpha Prime 2024 (4-0) is set to face Slammers Zavaras (2-2) in the Round of 32. First pitch is set for 10:15 a.m. MT on Monday at Surprise Stadium (Royals 3).

Alaka'i Kiakona fired six scoreless innings as part of a combined no-hitter to lead to Hawaii Elite 2G to a 2-0 victory against ZT Prospects and captured the Pitcher of the Day honor for July 3 at the 14U National Team Championships.

Kiakona did not allow a hit through his six innings of work and used just 59 pitches to do so. The 5-foot-8 southpaw struck out three and maintained a 63 percent strike rate in the impressive outing.

Kiakona set down 10 straight batters between the first out of the second and the first out of the fifth.

Dylan Song finished off the no-hitter for Hawaii Elite 2G, which moved to 3-1 at the tournament. The team is set to square off against Empire Baseball Club (2-1-1) in the Round of 32. First pitch is scheduled for 9:45 a.m. MT on Monday at Goodyear Ballpark (Indians 4).
