CARY, N.C. - The Huguenot Huskies capitalized on a four-run fourth inning to secure the 6-4 win over NCDB Rivercats Saturday morning at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina. With the win, the Huskies move to 2-0 at the 2019 14U Cup.

Not much was going for either side offensively until the fourth inning when the Huskies began their offensive rally with a double and followed up with a single to score the first run of the game. After a balk, a walk, and two more singles, they quickly tacked on to their lead, bringing the game to 4-0.

Down by four, the Rivercats began to rally back over the course of the next two innings, scoring one in the bottom of the fourth courtesy of an RBI single, followed by three more runs in the fifth to tie the game at four apiece.

With the game still tied at four in the seventh, the Huskies were threatening with runners on the corners. Vinny Shelah ripped a double down the left field line to clear the bases and give the Huskies the 6-4 lead.

Joshua Moskovitz (1-0) was the winning pitcher while Cole Lanford (0-1) was the losing pitcher.
