Team Elite American 6, Blue Chips 2

Team Elite American used a four-run fifth inning to defeat Blue Chips 6-2 on Saturday at the National Training Complex in Cary, N.C.
Blue Chips got out to an early lead in the bottom of the first when Frank Adamski hit and RBI-single to second that brought home Michael Lotharp. Blue Chips added to their lead in the next inning on an errand throw to first that allowed Brayden Heaps to tack on Blue Chips second and final run of the game.
After being held scoreless in the first four innings of the game, Team Elite American's offense put together a four-run inning in the fifth with RBI-singles from Sam Schaeffer and Travis Harris and an RBI-double from Gavin Johnson. Team American Elite tacked on two additional runs in the final two innings to secure the victory.
Johnson earned the win for Team Elite American after 3.1 innings pitched. Ethan Diehl suffered the loss for Blue Chips.
Team American Elite improve to 2-0, while Blue Chips fell to 0-2.


NW Elite 11, Syracuse Sports Zone 4

NW Elite offense paced them to victory, defeating Syracuse Sports Zone 11-4 on Saturday at the National Training Complex in Cary, N.C.
NW Elite started out hot in the top of the first, plating four runs on four hits. Syracuse Sports Zone tallied two runs of their own after Kevin Dolan scored on a wild pitch and Tyrus Kelly crossed the plate when Aiden Milburn grounded into a double play. Syracuse Sports Zone tacked on another run in the next inning following an RBI-single to center from Nathan Arnold.  
After a scoreless third inning, NW Elite added three more runs in the top of the fourth featuring an RBI-double from both Chase Diete and Sam Shaw, making the score 7-3. NW Elite added four more runs in the top of the fifth to seal the game.
Josh Fruedenbery earned the win for NW Elite after five innings pitched. Ryan Klementowski suffered the loss for Syracuse Sports Zone.
NW Elite improve to 2-0, while Syracuse Sports Zone fell to 0-2.
NCBA White 13 vs. RBA South Phillies 4

NCBA White totaled 13 runs on Saturday at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina, taking down RBA South Phillies 13-4 and moving to 1-2 at the 2019 14U Cup.
NCBA White wasted no time getting on the board as they plated a run in the top of the first. RBA South Phillies scored three of their own in the second to put them out to an early 3-1 advantage, but their lead wouldn't last long. 
NCBA White scored three in the third to take the 4-3 lead, and they didn't relinquish the lead for the rest of the game. They tacked on nine more runs over the next four innings to defeat the RBA South Phillies 13-4.
The loss was the first of the tournament for the RBA South Phillies, who fall to 2-1. Meanwhile, NCBA White move to 1-2 at the 2019 14U Cup. Both teams will play one game Sunday at a time to be determined.
Canes Barbour 11 vs. Bel Air Braves 4

Canes Barbour scored 11 runs Saturday afternoon to defeat the Bel Air Braves 11-4 at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina.
Canes Barbour utilized 13 hits to score the 11 runs, including posting multi-run innings in the second, fourth, and sixth innings.
On the mound for Cane Barbour, Asher Lucas (1-0) got the win after turning in 6 2/3 strong innings, allowing nine hits and three earned runs while striking out five. Braeden Rock (0-1) received the loss.
Canes Barbour move to 2-1 at the 2019 14U Cup while the Bel Air Braves fall to 1-2. Both teams will play one game Sunday at a time to be determined.


East Coast Clippers 4, Virginia Cardinals 3

East Coast Clippers walked off on Saturday to beat Virginia Cardinals 4-3 and maintain a perfect record at the 2019 14U Cup at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina.
The Virginia Cardinals were first on the board in the contest as they scored two in the top of the second courtesy of a Mitchel Gaskins single. Gaskins came around to score later in the inning to give the Cardinals the 2-0 lead. 
East Coast Clippers put up a run of their own in the bottom of the second, and the two teams continued to battle back-and-forth until the sixth inning, when the game became tied at three apiece after East Coast Clippers scored a pair.
With the two teams still tied, the East Coast Clippers had the opportunity to walk it off in the seventh. They started the inning with a pair of back-to-back singles and after a sacrifice-fly placed a runner on third, Jackson Berini singled up the middle to drive in the game-winning run and walk it off. The final score was 4-3.


Blue Chips 4, Syracuse Sports Zone 3

Blue Chips walk off Syracuse Sports Zone in extra innings to win 4-3 at the 2019 14U Cup in Cary, North Carolina.
Both teams put up offense early as Syracuse Sports Zone plated two in the top of the first and Blue Chips followed with a run of their own to make it a 2-1 game. Blue Chips tacked on two more in the second to take the 3-2 lead, but Syracuse Sports Zone tied it up in the fifth courtesy of a Blue Chips error.
The score would remain tied at three apiece through regulation, forcing extra innings between the two teams. 
With the bases loaded and two away in the bottom of the eighth, the Syracuse Sports Zone errored to allow Blue Chips to walk it off, finishing the game with a 4-3 score.
The win put Syracuse Sports Zone at 0-3 at the 2019 14 Cup while Blue Chips move to 1-2. Both teams will be back in action tomorrow afternoon at a time to be determined.


TPA National 6, Mid Maryland United 5

TPA Nationals defeated Mid Maryland United 6-5 in a back-and-fourth affair on Saturday at the National Training Complex in Cary, N.C.
Bryce Rudisill started things off for Mid Maryland United with an RBI-single to plate the first run of the game in the top of the first. TPA Nationals responded later in the inning after Matthew Prince hit an RBI-double and then later scored on a pass ball to make the score 2-1.
TPA Nationals added two more runs in the third thanks to an RBI-Triple from Andrew Clifford and a sacrifice-fly from Lane Herndon. TPA Nationals were able to tack on two more runs in the bottom of the fifth to score their final runs of the game. Mid Maryland United was able to tally three more runs but was stopped there. 
Karson Knox earned the win for TPA Nationals after five innings pitched. Carter Reid suffered the loss for Mid Maryland United. 
TPA Nationals improved to 2-1, while Mid Maryland United fell to 1-2.


Tri State Aresenal 6, NCDB Rivercats 1

NCDB Rivercats used a four-run inning to defeat Tri State Arsenal 6-1 on Saturday at the National Training Complex in Cary, N.C.
NCDB Rivercats' Cooper Allen got his team on the board after a ground out that allowed Jackson Thomas to find home. Two innings later, Thomas hit an RBI-single to bring home another run and increase NCDB Rivercats lead by two. 
NCDB Rivercats kept the pressure on in the bottom of the fourth with a four-run inning to increase their lead by six. Tri State Arsenal was able to tally three runs combined in the sixth and seventh inning.
Cooper Allen earned the win for Tri State Arsenal after 6.1 innings pitched and recording three strikeouts. Alex Hatcher suffered the loss for NCDB Rivercats after going the distance on the mound. 
NCBA Rivercats improved to 1-2, while Tri State Arsenal fell to 1-2.


NW Elite 9, Team Elite American 2

NW Elite scored eight runs in the final two innings to defeat Team Elite American 9-2 on Saturday at the National Training Complex in Cary, N.C.
Team Elite American's Sam Schaeffer scored the first run of the game on a passed ball in the bottom of the second. NW Elite's Jay Mentink tied the game up in the top of the third after he singled to shortstop and allowed Jailon Goodfellow to reach home. In the bottom of the fourth, Gavin Johnson earned an RBI-walk to take the lead for Team Elite American. 
NW Elite regained the lead and opened the game up in the sixth and seventh by scoring a combined eight runs and sealing the victory. 
Bryce Johnson earned the win for NW Elite after 3.2 innings pitched. Fisher Canaday suffered the loss for Team Elite American. 
NW Elite improved to 3-0 , while Team American Elite fell to 2-1.


Rawlings Prospects9 , Huguenot Huskies 0

Caleb Ayers led the Rawlings Prospects to a 9-0 win by tossing a one-hit complete game shutout against the previously undefeated Huguenot Huskies Saturday evening at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina. With the win, the Rawlings Prospects move to 2-1 at the 2019 14U Cup.
Ayers was the player of the game for the Prospects. He threw seven shutout innings of one-hit baseball, striking out four in the process. Ayers was also active at the plate, going 1-for-4 on the day. He needed 69 pitches to accomplish the feat. Ayers (1-0) was credited with the win while Justin Spiegel (0-1) was the losing pitcher.
Seth Wilkinson and Dylan Mason both turned in multi-hit performances for the Prospects. The duo combined to go 4-for-6 with four RBIs and two runs scored.
With the win, the Rawlings Prospects move to 2-1 at the 2019 14U Cup while the Huskies drop to 2-1. Both teams will be back in action tomorrow afternoon at a time to be determined.
