OMAHA, Neb. – Eight of the nation’s best teams in the 2025 collegiate baseball season are set to gather at the Men’s College World Series at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Nebraska, this weekend.

“The Greatest Show on Dirt” is set to begin on Saturday, June 13, when Coastal Carolina and Arizona match up at 2 p.m. ET and Oregon State and Louisville go head-to-head at 7 p.m. ET. Arkansas, LSU, Murray State, and UCLA will open up World Series play on Saturday, June 14, at 2 and 7 p.m. ET, respectively. From there, the eight teams will aim to reach the series finals, slated for June 21-23, and ultimately win a national title for their school.

Twenty-two players across seven of the teams competing in Omaha have suited up for the red, white, and blue in their respective playing careers. Ten have played for USA Baseball’s Collegiate National Team, including nine who were on the 2024 roster. Likewise, eight have played on its 18U National Team, three have played for its 12U National Team, and two have played for its 15U National Team. Across the three youth national teams, eight alums have won a gold medal with Team USA.

Below are some of the highlights from NCAA Regional and Super Regional play for the squads that have advanced to the MCWS:

Arkansas’ Gabe Gaeckle (2024 CNT) and Camden Kozeal (2022 18U) have helped their team return to Omaha for the 12th time in program history. Through five games, Kozeal has gone 9-for-20 (.450) with six runs scored and six RBIs, while Gaeckle has tossed a combined five innings across two innings in relief. Gaeckle was credited with saves in both of his appearances on June 1 and June 7 and has struck out a combined nine batters in the postseason.

Coden Bodine (2024 CNT) has been a vital part of Coast Carolina’s 21-game win streak and first World Series appearance since 2016 when the Chanticleers won their first national title in school history. Behind the plate he owns a .998 fielding percentage (one error) through 62 games, while offensively he has turned in a pair of three-hit games in NCAA Tournament play with a combined five RBIs and four runs scored.

The Louisville Cardinals clinched their sixth MCWS appearance last weekend, and the 2024 Collegiate National Team trio of Tucker Biven, Patrick Forbes, and Zion Rose, will be making their debuts in Omaha. While Biven and Rose have played a part in the team’s postseason success thus far, Forbes has been dominant in his outings on the bump against East Tennessee State on May 30 and against Miami on June 6. He surrendered three earned runs across 11.2 innings with 22 strikeouts and was credited with the win in both outings. In the game against ETSU he matched his career high in strikeouts with 13.

Of the 10 LSU Tigers who are USA Baseball alumni, nine of them have seen playing time in the postseason as they will look to claim its eighth overall title after most recently winning it all in 2023. Alums Jake Brown (2022 18U), Derek Curiel (2023 18U), and Steven Milam (2016 12U and 2019 15U) have started all six games at their respective positions and contributed three multi-hit games apiece. On the bump, starting pitchers Kade Anderson (2021 18U) and Anthony Eyanson (2024 CNT) have each made two starts in NCAA Tournament play and went at least seven shutout innings in one of their respective outings. Additionally, relievers Mavrick Rizy (2022 18U) and Cooper Williams (2023 18U) have made a combined five appearances out of the bullpen over the last two weekends and surrendered one run in 10.1 innings of work.

Oregon State is returning to the Men’s College World Series for the first time since 2018 with the help of bullpen duo Nelson Keljo and Eric Segura, who played for the 2024 Collegiate National Team. They have made three appearances each in NCAA Tournament play and have thrown a combined 12.1 innings in relief. Keljo’s best outing was on May 31 against TCU when he threw three scoreless frames with four strikeouts, while Segura’s was on June 2 against USC when he also tossed three shutout innings with five strikeouts to send the Beavers to the Supers.

Roman Martin (2022 18U) has had an outstanding NCAA Tournament performance so far, going 10-for-23 (.435) with 11 RBIs and six runs across five games. In UCLA’s NCAA Regional opener against Fresno State on May 30, Martin had a career day by going 4-for-6 with a double and a home run, three RBIs, and three runs scored. He also tallied a pair of hits in both Super Regional games against UTSA to help the Bruins to advance to Omaha for the first time since 2013.
