CARY, N.C. – UCLA’s Logan Reddemann racked up 18 strikeouts in an eight-inning performance on April 10 against conference foe Rutgers en route to earning Golden Spikes Award x D1 Baseball Week 9 Player of the Week honors.
Reddemann’s 18 strikeouts matched UCLA’s program record, which was set by Rob Henkel in 2000. It was one of the most dominant outings in Bruins history, as the right-hander allowed just two hits on one run and fanned 11 of the final 12 batters he faced.
Reddemann has been a big piece of top-ranked UCLA’s 25-game win streak and undefeated 16-0 record in conference play. He is currently tied for third in the nation in strikeouts with 79 and seventh in strikeout-to-walk ration with a 9.88 clip.
