USA Baseball Reveals 2025 13U/14U Athlete Development Roster

Fifty athletes set to compete at National Training Complex from July 31-August 3

CARY, N.C. – USA Baseball today named the 50-man roster for the 2025 13U/14U Athlete Development Program. The event will be held July 31-August 3 at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina.

The ADP features advanced on-field skills development with positional and team-fundamental drills, along with ongoing evaluation by the coaching staff. The participants will also be split into two teams and compete head-to-head in a series of games. Additionally, the athletes will participate in off-field educational seminars while gaining additional exposure to professional scouts and college recruiters.

Both teams at the 2025 ADP are named after USA Baseball alums and former development program participants Bryce Eldridge and Aidan Miller. Eldridge, who was named USA Baseball’s 2022 Richard W. “Dick” Case Award winner, was a member of the 18U National Team that won gold at the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) U-18 Baseball World Cup in 2022. The young prospect was named WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup MVP and earned a spot on the All-World Team after his strong outing for Team USA. A year later, Eldridge was selected with the 16th overall pick in the 2023 MLB Draft by the San Francisco Giants, where he is currently the No. 17 overall prospect in baseball according to MLB Pipeline. Prior to his stint with the 18U National Team, Eldridge participated in the 16U/17U National Team Development Program (NTDP) in 2021.

Miller is a three-time USA Baseball alum, as he was first a part of the 2016 12U National Team that won silver at the COPABE Pan Am “A” Championships. He was also a member of the 2019 15U National Team, where he helped the stars and stripes secure a gold medal at the WBSC U-15 Baseball World Cup Americas Qualifier after participating in the 2018 14U NTDP. In his third stint with USA Baseball, Miller earned a spot alongside Eldridge on the 18U National Team in 2022 after competing in the 2021 16U/17U NTDP. Miller guided his squad to a gold medal after batting .478 and being named to the All-World Team as a right fielder. He was later selected 27th overall in the 2023 MLB Draft by the Philadelphia Phillies and currently ranks as the No. 18 overall prospect in baseball per MLB Pipeline.

“We’re thrilled to introduce the fifty athletes selected for this year’s 13U/14U Athlete Development Program,” said Jim Koerner, USA Baseball’s Director of Player Development. “This group showcases exceptional talent, with each athlete having impressed our coaches and Task Force members during our identification events. We’re excited to support their growth and deepen their understanding of the game next week in Cary.”

The roster announcement comes after the conclusion of the National Team Championships in Arizona and North Carolina, which serves as the event’s primary identification event along with the National Team Identification Series (NTIS) Champions Cup. Twenty-three athletes participated in the National Team Championships while 24 players were identified at the NTIS Champions Cup. Three players on this year’s roster will make their debuts within USA Baseball development programming.

Twenty-one players on this year’s ADP roster have played on a past 12U National Team. Cooper Hutton, Miles Lockridge, Jack Mattingly, Ethan Palacios, Joshua Pierre, Jayden Portes, Clayton Ratliff ,Carlo Rivero, and Carson Schoener will reunite in Cary after helping the stars and stripes win gold at the 2024 WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup Americas Qualifier in Panama City, Panama.

Additionally, seven athletes were members of the 2023 12U National Team that participated in both the WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup Americas Qualifier in Aguascalientes, Mexico and the WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup held in Tainan, Taiwan. After bringing home gold in both events, Tyler Early, Kingston George, Ty Glaus, Zaylon Johnson, Bryant Ju, Michael Ohman, and Boston Targac will reconvene at the National Training Complex. The duo of Early and Glaus were also participants at the 2024 version of the ADP.

Furthermore, the fivesome of Nathan Handley-White, Paris Head, Bowen Landry, Jesse Maddox , and Micah Delos Reyes also played for the 12U National Team in 2023, competing in either the World Cup or the World Cup Qualifier.

Eighteen states are represented on the 50-man ADP roster in 2025. California leads all states with 12 representatives, followed by Texas with nine and Florida with six. Arizona sits fourth with four athletes while five states boast two athletes.

Koerner will serve as the field coordinator for the event, Hawai’i Associate Head Coach Keith Zuniga will act as the pitching coordinator, and 2000 Olympic gold medalist Mike Kinkade will be the hitting coordinator.

Jim Maciejewski will lead Team Aidan Miller, and will be joined by pitching coach Jonathan Pollard and assistant coach Mo Blakeney. Additionally, former big leaguer Bobby Hill will make his USA Baseball coaching debut as manager of Team Bryce Eldridge, and will be joined by pitching coach Brett Tomko and assistant coach Jeff Sherman.
