
LA Crawfords 6, Canes West 5
The Canes West and LA Crawfords offenses were firing early as all 11 runs of the contest were scored in the first two innings. It was a pitching battle for the remaining three innings as Nolin Davidson and Ace Bush threw a combined three scoreless frames for the Crawfords, while Decker Diaz held it down for the Canes in the final four. Despite a late rally by the Canes, the Crawfords ultimately came out on top 6-5.
New Level National 17, East Cobb Astros 4
The New Level National bats were hot, plating 17 runs in the first two innings of their contest against the East Cobb Astros. As a team, New Level was 18-for-28 at the plate, with eight players recording multi-hit games. On the mound, James Baker pitched a complete game and struck out seven in the 17-4 victory.
DG29 Baseball Academy 3, MVP Hustle 2
Although it was a close contest, DG29 Baseball Academy ultimately defeated MVP Hustle 3-2. After a scoreless first, both teams plated a run in the second, with DG29’s coming on a solo inside-the-park homer by Larien Sanchez. In the top of the next frame, MVP Hustle scored another, but DG29 matched this with two of their own for the lead and eventually the win.
SBA Futures 10U 10, Mid-Atlantic Ironmen 0
Miller Mettee pitched a complete game shutout in the SBA Futures 10-0 victory over the Mid-Atlantic Ironmen. Over the course of four innings, Mettee allowed just two hits and struck out six. He was dominant at the plate as well, going 2-for-3 with three RBIs and a run scored.
Braves Baseball Academy 9, Hit Factory Select 8
After trailing 8-4 heading into the bottom of the fourth, the Braves Baseball Academy put together a monster five-run frame to take the lead. With the bases loaded, Jonathan Rodarte knocked a two-RBI single to center field, which Connor Stewart followed with a walk to keep the bags juiced. Then Jakob Vizcarra scored on an RBI groundout to put the Braves within one, before an Isaac Gonzalez two-RBI single gave them the lead. Both sides went scoreless in the fifth and the Braves secured a 9-8 victory.
Easley Baseball Club 16, Top Tier Select 10U 2
Easley Baseball Club scored in every inning of their commanding 16-2 victory over Top Tier Select. Four players recorded a two-hit game for EBC, while Beckett Johnson went 3-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored. For Top Tier, Easton Meints also had a multi-hit game.
Scottsdale Dirtbags 6, Team Elite 3
The Dirtbags survived a fifth inning scare, taking down Team Elite 6-3 in six innings. Scottsdale took an early 3-0 lead and held it through four, but Elite wasn’t going down without a fight, tying the game in the top of the fifth. The Dirtbags returned the favor, scoring three more runs of their own for the win. The Scottsdale offense was led by Arvin Hurtado who went 2-for-3 with three RBIs on the day.
ZT Prospects 10U 7, Tennessee Grit 10U 2
After the Tennessee Grit plated two in the top of the first, ZT held them scoreless for the remainder of the game en route to a 7-2 victory. Connor Ciaglia had a strong day on the mound pitching five innings and allowing just two runs while striking out eight. Despite having a 3-2 lead, ZT plated four insurance runs in the bottom of the fifth and Owen Robinson threw a clean final inning for the win.
