In the lowest-scoring game of the morning slate, CBU 2027 Scout Team and Stacked - KC Royals Scout Team finished their game tied 1-1. Starting the game with a bang, Aiden Sun smacked an RBI triple to right-center that recorded an exit velocity of 98 mph. Both teams delivered strong pitching performances, as the CBU 2027 Scout Team staff allowed only one hit and struck out eight. Finding their lone run of the game in the sixth, CBU 2027 Scout Team used an RBI single from Blayden Caballero. Stacked - KC Royals Scout Team used four pitchers in the contest and recorded a combined stat line of seven innings pitched, giving up one earned run, and tallying nine strikeouts, ending the game tied.
2027 Franklin Scout Team (BTD) 8, Texas Twelve Red Sox 2027 0
Cruising their way to victory in mercy-rule fashion, the 2027 Franklin Scout Team took control of the game with dominant hitting. Sebastian Castillo led the charge on the offensive side of the ball, going 2-for-3 with a double and a triple and recording a five-RBI game. Using a combined effort from Christopher Vasallo and Matthew Vigil, 2027 Franklin Scout Team got five innings of quality work, giving up only two hits and striking out six to earn the win.
SBA Bolts National 2027 3, Dirtbags 17U National 1
Taking an early lead and never letting it go, SBA Bolts National 2027 got things started early with an RBI single by Brayden Landry, taking an early 1-0 lead. Getting a great start from Cruz Jones, who tossed four innings and gave up three hits while tallying seven strikeouts. SBA Bolts National 2027 took a 3-1 lead in the bottom of the fourth off a passed ball that brought home Tyce Thompson. Finishing out the game for SBA Bolts National 2027 was Sebastian Quiles, tossing three scoreless innings and striking out four. Quiles picked up a save and secured the win for SBA Bolts National 2027.
FTB Phillies 2027 3, Canes National 17U/NY Mets Scout Team 1
FTB Phillies 2027 used seven hits and a great start from Bubba Day to secure a 3-1 win over Canes National 17U. Striking first in the top of the second frame, Blake Davis hit a two-RBI single to right field that gave FTB Phillies 2027 an early 2-0 lead. Tyler Roach came on in the fifth inning for FTB Phillies and went all the rest of the way. He tossed three innings of one-run baseball, giving up just one hit while striking out a pair. Canes National 17U scratched their lone run across in the fifth, but it wouldn’t be enough as FTB Phillies 2027 closed out the game with a three-up, three-down frame.
Texas Twelve Red Sox 2027 7, CBU 2027 Scout Team 6
A shootout until the very end saw Texas Twelve Red Sox 2027 taking down CBU 2027 Scout Team with dominating hitting. Three players for Texas Twelve Red Sox 2027 recorded multi-hit games, along with two players notching two-RBI games. Easton Brunson had a big day at the plate, smacking a two-RBI triple to right field. Texas Twelve Red Sox 2027 brought across its seventh run in the seventh frame with an RBI double by Jhett Bubke. In the bottom of the seventh, CBU 2027 Scout Team struck back with a three-run home run by Sammy Echeverry. The effort wasn't enough as Cole Coffman finished the game for Texas Twelve Red Sox 2027 for a 7-6 win.
Stacked - KC Royals Scout Team 7, 2027 Franklin Scout Team (BTD) 4
In a game that saw a combined 16 hits, Stacked - KC Royals Scout Team put up six runs in the first two innings, jumping out to an early advantage. 2027 Franklin Scout Team (BTD) responded accordingly, putting up four runs across the third and fourth frames. Highlighted by a Kaalekahi Kuhaulua RBI triple, 2027 Franklin Scout Team (BTD) pulled within two runs. Stacked - KC Royals Scout Team pitching staff kept the game out of reach, going a combined six innings, giving up five hits, and striking out four to secure the win.
Canes National 17U 5, Dirtbags 17U National 3
Getting a big day out of Drake Hawpe, Canes National 17U got steady pitching and timely hitting on their way to a 5-3 win. Hawpe recorded four out of the five RBIs while going 3-for-4 in the game. Canes National starter Soren Etheridge worked through four innings and only gave up two hits, while striking out 10. Striking in a big way in the seventh frame, Hawpe recorded an RBI triple to left field, his fourth RBI of the game. A combined effort from Lawton Littleton and Chris Grasso resulted in three innings of one-run ball and sealed the win.
FTB Phillies 2027 2, SBA Bolts National 2027 1
With only five hits combined in the game FTB Phillies 2027 was able to edge past SBA Bolts National 2027 for a one-run victory. Getting a pivotal at-bat from Kinon Bastian, who recorded an RBI triple FTB Phillies 2027 took an early 1-0 advantage. In the bottom of the fourth, Hector Green singled into right field, which brought home Isaias Torres, who doubled earlier in the inning. SBA Bolts National 2027 struck in the top of the seventh with a sac-fly by Luke Danser but couldn't add any more with FTB winning 2-1.
Team Elite 3, USA Prime National 3
With one run or more being scored in the first four innings, Team Elite and USA Prime National used the full time limit and ended in a tie. Recording two of the four hits for USA Prime National, Kyler Meccage had two singles and came around to score a run. An RBI double from Ryan Harless brought in the third run of the game for Team Elite in the top of the third. USA Prime National struck back in the fourth with a bases-loaded walk, tying the game at three. Both pitching staffs continued to put up zeros, leading to the game ending in a tie by reaching the time limit.
MLB Breakthrough Series 3, Indiana Bulls Black 2027 National 1
The MLB Breakthrough Series squad used situational hitting and some clutch execution to take down Indiana Bulls Black 2027 National 3-1. A sac-fly and two separate RBI singles helped the MLB Breakthrough Series squad break out to a 3-0 lead. Two pitchers lead the way for the MLB Breakthrough Series team, with Devyn Downs and Joseph Webb going a combined seven innings. Both pitchers combined to rack up 10 strikeouts and secured the win for the MLB Breakthrough Series squad.
PRD 4, CBA 1
A big day at the plate by Easton Morgan helped power PRD over CBA 4-1. Going 3-for-4 with a run scored, Morgan was constantly on the bases. With all four runs having four separate RBI scorers, PRD's depth helped them continue putting up runs with a key three-run third inning. Wyatt Plyler and Cooper Jones carried the workload on the mound, only giving up five hits and tallying nine strikeouts in their seven innings. Only allowing one run, Plyler and Jones kept the game out of reach and earned PRD the win.
East Cobb Astros 7, Wow Factor National 17U 5
The firepower came out with the East Cobb Astros and Wow Factor National 17U, combining for three home runs in a game. Scoring in every frame but the third, the East Cobb Astros recorded eight hits in the contest on their way to victory. Home runs from Malachi Butler and Carson Calvo helped the East Cobb Astros' momentum for the game. Wow Factor National 17U hit a homer of their own by Copper Goff, a three-run homer. Trent Lutz and Brennen Neal commanded the game on the mound for the East Cobb Astros. Going a combined six innings of work, they gave up six hits and tallied seven strikeouts.
Team Elite 3, Indiana Bulls Black National 17U 1
Scoring the opening run of the game on a rundown between first and second that saw the runner from third score. The Indiana Bulls Black National 17U had a back-and-forth contest ending with a Team Elite win. Two RBI extra-base hits in the bottom of the sixth, including Cason Borchardt's triple and Caleb Hudson’s double, led to Team Elite breaking the 1-1 tie and taking a 3-1 lead that held until the end of the game.
USA Prime National 8, MLB Breakthrough Series 6
A high-scoring contest between USA Prime National saw a combined 17 hits and 14 runs. Broder Katke had a huge day at the plate, going 2-for-2 with three RBIs and a run scored for USA Prime National. The MLB Breakthrough Series scored six runs on six hits, highlighted by Shea Corona's home run to left. Summoning Graham Keen out of the bullpen to close out the game, USA Prime National got a clean inning with a strikeout, ending the game.
Canes Midwest National 4, Performance Baseball 3
The longest game of the day saw Canes Midwest National and Performance Baseball play a full nine innings to decide a winner. With international tiebreaker rules, Performance Baseball got runners on second and third following a double steal to start the inning. Delivering in a clutch spot, Connor Balazic smacked a two-RBI single to center field to take a 3-1 lead. Canes Midwest National didn't go away without a fight; a walk drove in a run and put the game within one. Griffin Boesen came to the plate and lined a single up the middle, scoring the winning run and walking off Performance Baseball 4-3.
Alpha Prime 2027 11, South Charlotte Panthers 2027 Marucci 0
Using a complete game shutout performance from Parker Lipp, Alpha Prime 2027 got a big win in their first game at Champs NC. Putting up a seven-spot in the top of the sixth, Alpha Prime 2027 used 15 hits with eight out of nine starters notching a hit in the game. Colton Hadfield drove in three runs on the day, two of them on his RBI single in the sixth, cementing the win.
