CARY, N.C. - On the final day of the 2026 13U/14U Athlete Development Program (ADP) at the National Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina, Team Navy picked up its first win thanks to aggressive at-bats and clutch execution in a 7-2 result.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Two free passes to start the inning for Team Navy led to the first run scoring off a defensive miscue, giving Team Navy a 1-0 lead.
- Christopher Domenech kept things rolling for Team Navy with a two-RBI double to left field, giving Team Navy a 3-0 lead.
- Team Red struck back in the bottom half of the first, highlighted by an RBI single from Joshua Park to score Colt McCann, who reached with a single.
- Team Navy pitcher Gavin Jordan tossed two solid innings of shutout baseball, striking out four and keeping the lead at 3-1.
- Tossing two shutout innings for Team Red, Bronx Holbron limited Team Navy to two hits while recording three strikeouts.
- After the four combined runs in the first inning, the game remained scoreless until the fifth.
- An aggressive fifth frame saw Team Navy find four hits. An RBI triple by Ryder Walsh followed by an RBI double by Jack Mattingly highlighted the inning. Team Navy plated three runs before the inning ended, taking a 6-1 lead.
- Coming up to the plate with the bases loaded in the top of the sixth, Carlos Murray Jr. singled on a line drive to center. The RBI single brought in Team Navy’s seventh run of the contest.
- A leadoff walk came around to score for Team Red in the bottom of the seventh following an RBI double from Holbron. The double scored the first run for Team Red since the opening inning of the game.
