Kangaroo Courts Roos 14U Wins Gold Medal at National Team Championships in Florida

PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla.- Renzo Gonzales of Roos 14U allowed no runs on no hits in four innings of work in the Gold Medal Game at the 14U National Team Championships.
It was a scoreless first three innings from both sides until Roos 14U struck in the top of the fourth inning to score the only two runs of the game. A lead-off walk followed by a single by Miles Curley put runners on first and third. The first run scored on a wild pitch, while the very next batter, AJ Nessler, hit a single to left center to bring around the second run of the inning.
Nessler highlighted the offense for Roos 14U going 1-for-1 with one run batted in.
Gonzales hurled four innings allowing no runs on no hits and tallied four strikeouts. For the Roos 13U, Aidan Miller threw four and a thirds inning allowing two runs on four hits with two strikeouts.
The game was cut short in the bottom of the fourth due to rain resulting in a 2-0 Roos 14U victory to take home the gold medal.
