MAY 12

2014 Collegiate National Team alum Bailey Ober tossed 6.1 scoreless innings against the Blue Jays, allowing just one run while fanning 10 batters. He was credited with the win in The Twin’s 5-1 victory.

2023 Collegiate National Team alum JJ Wetherholt hit a three-run homer and drew a bases-loaded walk in consecutive at bats in West Virginia’s 12-5 win over Kansas State to clinch the series. Wetherholt finished 1-for-3 with four RBIs and two runs scored at the plate.

MAY 11

Three-time USA Baseball alum Paul Skenes made his major-league debut on Saturday for the Pirates against the Cubs. The top pitching prospect in baseball struck out seven in four innings, allowing three runs and walking two. Skenes became the third pitcher in MLB history to average over 100 mph with their fastball in a game (min. 30 pitches).

Three-time national team alum Aidan Miller went yard for the second time in three games in the Clearwater Threshers’ 9-4 victory over the Tampa Tarpons.

2022 18U alum Camden Kozeal turned in a multi-hit outing against top-ranked Tennessee, as he went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored. His day at the plate was highlighted by his fourth home run of the year.

MAY 10

2010 16U alum Corey Seager homered and drove in two runs as part of a two-hit day for the Rangers on Friday against the Rockies. Seager got the Rangers on the board with a solo shot in the sixth and drew a bases-loaded walk to put them in front in the seventh. He also collected a double in the third.

Ryan Johnson (2023 CNT) punched out eight over six scoreless innings to earn the win for Dallas Baptist over Liberty on Friday. Johnson lowered his season ERA to 1.79 in the outing and has now struck out 137 batters in 90.1 innings of work.

MAY 9

Two-time CNT alum Michael Conforto socked his sixth home run of the season for the Giants on Thursday as part of an 8-6 win over the Rockies. Conforto’s blast kicked off the scoring in the second inning of the victory, and he added another run scored in the seventh.

MAY 8

Shea Langeliers (2018 CNT) cranked his ninth home run of the season as part of a two-hit day for the Athletics on Wednesday. Langeliers now sits in a tie for fourth in the league with nine blasts, adding 24 RBIs so far in 2024.

2023 CNT alum Griff O’Ferrall collected three hits and three stolen bases for Virginia in a win over George Washington on Wednesday. O’Ferrall has now gotten three or more hits in eight games this season for the 10th-ranked Cavaliers, posting a .327 batting average.

MAY 7

Trevor Williams (2012 CNT) turned in his second consecutive scoreless start for the Nationals on Tuesday, shutting out the Orioles over five innings of two-hit ball. Williams punched out a season-high eight in the outing for Washington, improving to 4-0 on the season.

MAY 6

The Phillies’ 6-1 win over the Giants was covered in red, white, and blue, as four Team USA alums combined for eight hits, two home runs, and five RBIs. Bryce Harper (2008 16U, 2009 18U) and Kyle Schwarber (2013 CNT, 2023 WBC) each went yard, while 2023 WBC alum J.T. Realmuto and 2009 18U star Nick Castellanos each picked up doubles.

Simeon Woods Richardson (2021 OLY) made the best start in baseball on Monday, posting six shutout innings while allowing just one hit. The righthander struck out eight and walked one, facing just two batters over the minimum through six innings. He currently owns a 1.74 ERA through four starts in 2024.

MAY 5

Trailing by two runs in the fourth, Jesse Winker (2011 18U) came to the plate and cranked a go-ahead three-run blast for the Nationals as part of a two-hit day. Winker reached base in every plate appearance in the Nats’ win, increasing his on-base percentage to .372.

2023 CNT alum Charlie Condon homered for the seventh consecutive game on Sunday in a win over Vanderbilt, his record-tying 33rd blast of his incredible season. Condon has driven in 69 runs while batting .459 for Georgia.

MAY 4

Jared Jones (2016 15U) was nearly untouchable on Saturday against the Rockies, allowing just one hit and striking out 10 in a 1-0 victory for the Pirates. Jones has now punched out 52 batters in 41 innings in his rookie season.

With the tying runs on base and two outs in the top of the ninth inning, LSU turned to Gavin Guidry (2021 18U) to escape the jam. Guidry delivered, getting a game-ending fly out to pick up the save and help LSU to a series victory over top-ranked Texas A&M.

MAY 3

Few pitchers in baseball are off to a better start than two-time CNT alum Sonny Gray. The Cardinals’ ace turned in another seven shutout innings on Friday, allowing just three hits in a win over the White Sox. Gray–who has allowed zero runs in three of his five starts–owns a 0.89 ERA to this point in the season.

Drew Burress (2019 15U) hit two homers and drove in six runs for Georgia Tech in a big win over Clemson on Friday. Burress now has hit multiple home runs in five games this season and has 20 overall for his freshman campaign.

CNT alum Trey Yesavage continued his dominant junior year with 11 punch outs in seven innings to earn the win against South Florida. Yesavage now owns a 1.69 ERA and a 10-1 record for ECU this season, bringing his career record to 18-2 for the Pirates.

MAY 2

Four-time U.S. alum Pete Crow-Armstrong had a multi-hit game on Thursday against the Mets, his second since being called up on April 24. The center fielder notched two RBIs for the Cubs in the contest, bringing his season total to seven through nine games played at the big-league level in 2024.

MAY 1

Jake Cronenworth (2019 Pro) launched a grand slam that proved to be the game-winner for the Padres against the Reds on Wednesday. With the bags full in a tie game in the seventh, the first baseman smoked a homer over the wall in right to lift the Padres to a win.

Brady House (2015 12U & 2018 15U) hit a home run for the second consecutive game on Wednesday, a walk-off blast to lift the Harrisburg Senators past the Altoona Curve. House–who ranks as the Nationals third-best prospect per MLB Pipeline–now has four homers so far in 2024.

Wake Forest slugger and 2015 12U alum did not see much to hit on Wednesday against High Point. Kurtz came to the plate six times and walked each time, raising his season on-base percentage to a whopping .524.
