USA Baseball Announces 2025 15U National Team Roster

Twenty athletes set to take on international competition in Mexico

CARY, N.C. – USA Baseball today announced the roster for the 2025 15U National Team, following the completion of 15U National Team Training Camp. The final 20-player roster is set to compete in the 2025 World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) U-15 Pan American Championship in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, from September 13-18.

The announcement was made after an intense five-day Training Camp that consisted of a series of workouts, practices, and intrasquad scrimmages held at the National Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina.

“After a highly competitive and productive week of Training Camp, we are excited to announce the final twenty-player roster for the 2025 15U National Team,” said Ben Kelley, 15U National Team Program Director. “Throughout the week, our coaching staff and Task Force were consistently impressed by the players’ maturity, focus, and high-level performance. Finalizing the roster was no easy task, but we’re confident that this group represents the best of what USA Baseball stands for: talent, character, and a team-first mentality. We’re looking forward to competing on the international stage and are fully committed to bringing a gold medal home to the United States.”

The 15U National Team will look to secure its seventh gold medal in program history since its inception in 2012. Most recently, the program captured gold after going 8-1 at the 2022 WBSC U-15 Baseball World Cup held in Hermosillo, Mexico.

The 2025 roster features six players from the 2022 12U National Team that won gold at the WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup: Colin Anderson, Anthony Frausto, Tristin Gaines, Levi Kerr, Mateo Mier, and Trent O’Malley. Frausto, a two-time alum, was also a member of the 2024 15U National Team that went undefeated in an International Friendship Series against Australia last year.

Additionally, 11 athletes have prior involvement with USA Baseball’s 13U/14U Athlete Development Program (ADP). Six athletes participated in the 2023 edition of the event: Anderson, Frausto, Noah Jarolimek, Kerr, and Nateo Victorio. Last year’s ADP saw Anderson, Yariel Diaz, Frausto, Gaines, Kerr, Jason Marll Jr., Mier, Nolyn Nickels, and O’Malley thrive at the event.

Overall, 12 states are represented among the 20 players on this year’s roster. California leads the way with five representatives while Texas owns the second largest amount with three players. Georgia and South Carolina are home states for two athletes each. while Alabama, Arizona, Connecticut, Florida, Maryland, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Virginia each boast a player to the national team roster.

At the helm of the 15U National Team for the first time in his career is Casey Scott, who helped the red, white, and blue complete a five-game series sweep against Australia in an International Friendship Series last summer. Scott will be joined by former 15U National Team Manager Drew Briese who will serve as pitching coach, Steve Butler, who joins the 15U staff for his second consecutive summer, and JD Pruitt, who is set to make his national team coaching debut.

Before taking the field in Mexico, Team USA will hold National Team Training in El Paso, Texas from September 8-12, where the team will finalize preparations for international competition. The U.S. will then travel to Ciudad Juarez, Mexico with competition slated to start on September 13.
