PROSPECT DEVELOPMENT PIPELINE (PDP) LEAGUE

The MLB/USA Baseball PDP League serves as the primary identification opportunity for the USA Baseball 18U National Team.

The 2020 PDP League will be held from mid-June through early-July in Santa Clara, California on the campus of Santa Clara University. The PDP League is an invitation-based development opportunity for approximately 88 of the top high school baseball players ahead of the 2021 MLB First-Year Player Draft.

PDP League athletes will take part in a dynamic, development-centric experience throughout the two-and-a-half-week exposure. Athletes will engage in individualized strength, conditioning and wellness training, on-field instruction, competitive game play, seminars and more. Participating athletes will also have the opportunity to experience the amenities of Oakland Coliseum, home of the Oakland Athletics, and Oracle Park, home of the San Francisco Giants. At the conclusion of the PDP League, approximately 44 players will be selected to participate in the MLB High School All-American Game at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles as a part of the MLB All-Star Game festivities.

Information contained in this selection process document is subject to change at the sole discretion of USA Baseball and without further notice.
