USA Baseball National Training Complex Guidelines

FIELD USE
Coleman Field and Field 2 (Natural Grass Fields)
- Keep 5-10 feet off of the foul lines during warm-up
- No using grass in front of the dugouts including ground balls, stretching, or pepper
- Natural grass fields have tarps, do not walk or climb on tarps
- All foot traffic should remain on the warning track
Field 3 & Field 4 (Synthetic Fields)
- No metal cleats
- No sunflower seeds, gum, or shelled nuts
- Keep mound and plate mats ON for practice
- Synthetic Fields may be used through moderate precipitation
High Performance Training Center
- Turf shoes or sneakers only (No molded or metal cleats)
- No gum, seeds, or tobacco products
- No food or drink
- No glass bottles
WEATHER POLICIES
- The Town of Cary and USA Baseball reserve the right to delay, cancel, or otherwise alter games and game times to allow for games to be played through or around inclement weather
- In the case of lightning, all players, coaches, and spectators will be asked to vacate the National Training Complex and wait in their respective vehicles for the all clear announcement
TEAM CONDUCT
- Do not block entrances and exits to the fields or dugouts
- Batting Practice in cages and tee nets only unless approved
- No hitting into fences or on field netting
- No throwing weighted balls into the fences or netting
- Weighted balls should only be thrown into bullpen padding or bullpen concrete walls
- First come, first serve for batting cages unless Batting Practice times are given
- One batting cage per team
- No on-field Batting Practice or infield/outfield unless scheduled
SPECTATOR CONDUCT
- No outside alcohol
- No smoking/vaping
- Supervise children at all times
- Be respectful to officials, players, opposing teams, and facility staff
- Refrain from profanity and threatening language
- Abide by any rules or regulations posted on event signage
- No climbing on fences or other structures
HEALTH & SAFETY
- AEDs are located on the outside of the First Aid building on the Coleman Field concourse
- A Certified Athletic Trainer is available during USA Baseball events between Fields 2, 3, and 4
- First Aid is available at the First Aid building on the Coleman Field concourse
- Water fountains are available by the bathrooms
- USA Baseball will provide a “Hydration Station” in the case of extreme heat
- Report injuries or hazards immediately to event staff
- In the event of an emergency, call 911
PARKING
- Park only in marked spaces
- Do not drop off at the main entrance
- Do not drive on the service road
- Do not block the fire lane
GENERAL GUIDELINES
- No weapons of any kind
- No bicycles, skateboards, etc
- Pets are allowed in the National Training Complex
- No fireworks
- No open fires
- Damages to plants and turf is prohibited
- Injuring or endangering wildlife is prohibited
- Keep off of the service road
CAMERAS & LENSES POLICY
USA Baseball has adopted the following policy regarding photography and videography, including, but not limited to the use of camera lenses (including telephoto and zoom lenses) for any of the organization's events, excluding national team games, at the National Training Complex:
Spectators are permitted to bring telephoto or zoom camera lenses into the National Training Complex for photography or videography intended for personal use only. Spectators with telephoto or zoom camera lenses are NOT allowed to have field access at any point during the event. The use of any photos or videos taken by spectators for any commercial or monetary purposes is strictly prohibited and such commercial or monetary use may result in ejection or revocation of the individual's access to USA Baseball events.
Credentialed members of the media are permitted to have possession of telephoto and zoom lenses, and must adhere to USA Baseball’s guidelines and athlete safety policies (click here to view guidelines and policies). USA Baseball reserves the right to deny or revoke access to any media outlet/media member at their discretion. Each individual granted a credential is responsible for picking up his/her credential at the USA Baseball Press Box upon arriving at the event. Credentials cannot be mailed.
This policy is in place to ensure that our players, coaches, and fans have a positive experience at our events. This policy is in effect as of June 1, 2024, for events at the USA Baseball National Training Complex, and is subject to change without notice.
