CARY, N.C. – USA Baseball today announced the 2026 15U National Team Training Camp Phase 2 roster, which will be held September 16-18 at the National Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina. The roster features 32 players who will vie for the final 20 spots on the 2026 15U National Team.
The final 20-player roster for the 2026 15U National Team will be named at the conclusion of Phase 2, and will train for four days before traveling to Mérida, Mexico, to compete in the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) U-15 Baseball World Cup from September 25-October 4.
“This is an extremely exciting time for the 15U National Team program,” said 15U National Team Program Director Ben Kelley. “Training Camp Phase 1 was competitive from the get-go, and we could not be happier with the level of play we saw at the National Training Complex. We are excited to take the next step in the process of building a World Championship-caliber team for Mexico and look forward to the second phase of Training Camp in September.”
Nine players on the Training Camp Phase 2 roster bring previous national team experience, including eight from the World Cup-winning 2023 12U National Team. The list includes 2023 Richard W. “Dick” Case Award winner Tyler Early, Kingston George, Nate Handley-White, Paris Head, Raylen Hunter, Bryant Ju, Michael Ohman, and Greyson Wuis. Also on the roster is right-handed pitcher Clayton Ratliff, who is aiming for his second national team stint after helping the 2024 12U National Team win gold in Panama at the WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup Americas Qualifier.
Half of the roster boasts USA Baseball national team development programming experience, as 16 athletes have participated in the 13U/14U Athlete Development Program (ADP) including Early, who is the only player to have competed in multiple editions of the event. Chris Worrell Jr., who is the youngest player on the roster, is the lone athlete to have participated in this past summer’s 13U/14U ADP. In addition, four players on the roster have competed in past development events jointly hosted in partnership with Major League Baseball. Jonah Hargrave, Head, Ratliff, and Jason Spray Jr. participated in this past summer’s Hank Aaron Invitational, while Head also has Breakthrough Series, DREAM Series, and ID Tour experience.
The 32-player roster will be split into two teams-Stars and Stripes-that will compete in intrasquad scrimmages and participate in on-field workouts. 15U National Team Training Camp Phase 2 will be led by the 15U National Team coaching staff, in addition to four additional Training Camp coaches. Five-time Team USA coach RJ Farrell will manage Team Stars, while longtime high school coach Larry Vucan will serve as the team’s assistant coach. On Team Stripes, four-time 15U National Team manager Rob Shabansky will serve as manager, alongside assistant coach and two-time Team USA coach Derek Simmons.
The 2026 15U National Team will be led by the same coaching staff that guided last year’s gold medal-winning squad. Three-time Team USA coach Casey Scott returns as manager for a second consecutive summer, while two-time Team USA medalist and former 15U National Team manager Drew Briese serves as pitching coach. Four-time assistant coach Steve Butler returns to the dugout, and JD Pruitt will make his second straight stint as assistant coach.
