Round of 32
White Sox ACE 2029 6, WC Blackdogs 4
The 15U round of 32 began with a White Sox Ace comeback effort to set the table for an exciting day of elimination baseball. After falling behind 2-0 early, White Sox ACE ran up a four spot in the third inning that included a two-run single off the bat of Aarion Gould. White Sox ACE added another two insurance runs in the fourth and didn’t look back from there in the eventual 6-4 win.
NorCal U 2029 Cardinal 8, OC Coastal Scout Team 3
NorCal U 2029 Cardinal jumped out to a 5-0 lead after the first inning to give its pitching staff plenty of support en route to an 8-3 victory. The Cardinal three-through-seven batters piled up 10 hits and five RBIs to do the offensive heavy lifting, while three different pitchers teamed up to limit the OC Coastal Scout Team offense to just three hits total.
Scottsdale Dirtbags Black 8, Swarm Red Elite National 2029 0
Five different Scottsdale Dirtbags recorded a multi-hit game while the team tallied 12 hits and eight runs in a six inning run-rule shortened victory. Starting pitcher Edrik Jimenez went the distance, working all 6.0 innings and striking out eight in the shutout performance to help advance his team into the round of 16.
Seattle Select 15U 15, Alpha Force 2029 4
The offense was firing early and often for Seattle Select after plating 10 runs through the first three innings. Pitcher Kaison McGuire got things going on the offensive side of the ball as well with a first-inning two-run single, before toeing the rubber for all six innings to keep Alpha Force at bay throughout the morning.
Mojo Ghost National 15U 9, New Level Underclass 1
After scoring at least one run in five of six innings, Mojo Ghost National kept pressure throughout the contest in the 9-1 win. Leadoff hitter Wyatt Smith led the way at the dish, going 2-for-3 with two singles to complement pitcher Cooper Sweeney’s 6.0 innings of one run baseball.
MTBA Dawgs 2029 9, East Coast Ghost ‘29 National 6
MTBA Dawgs 2029 were able to stave off a late game rally from East Coast Ghost ‘29 National, where Ghost scored five runs in the bottom of seventh, but ultimately were not able to overcome the deficit. MTBA pitcher Gavin Newman relieved starter Payton Conley-Cimini after 6.1 innings, as Newman entered and quickly recorded two outs to shut the door on the Ghost comeback effort.
ZT Prospects Columbia 13, Houston Texans / Astros Scout Team 5
Outfielder Ryan Gates had a monstrous performance at the plate for ZT Prospects Columbia, going a perfect 3-for-3 with a double, a triple, and five RBIs to power his squad to a dominant win. Fellow outfielder Reid Estrada also turned in a 3-for-3 effort at the plate, while scoring four runs. The ZT top of the order went a combined 10-for-12 with seven of the team's 13 RBIs to advance into the round of 16.
Jason Kidd Select 9, Scottsdale Dirtbags Gold 8
The arguable game of the day took place between Jason Kidd Select and Scottsdale Dirtbags Gold, with the game needing nine innings to finally reveal a winner. In a back-and-forth affair that saw four lead changes, there were none more important than the sixth, eighth and ninth inning rallies from Jason Kidd Select. With their backs against the walls in the bottom of the sixth, JK Select’s Carter Unten ripped a line drive to center field to plate the tying run at 5-5. After Scottsdale took a 7-5 lead in the eighth, JK Select responded with another two-run single off the bat of Jianni Watson to keep the party going. The Dirtbags once again reclaimed the lead in the top of the ninth, but JK Select wasn’t done just yet. With the bases loaded, JK Select was able to draw back-to-back walks to push across the tying and eventual winning run in a nine inning thriller to survive and advance.
Team Kado / Bellinger 11, GBG Inland Empire 3
An eight-run fourth inning for Team Kado / Bellinger proved to be the difference in their 11-3 win over GBG Inland Empire on Saturday morning. The fourth inning included six hits, two walks and a hit-by-pitch to plate eight of the team's 11 runs en route to the comfortable win. Pitchers Lukas Goseen and Ryker Voyce teamed up for seven punchouts, no walks and just threw earned runs to keep GBG in the rear view mirror on their way to the round of 16.
Prime 15U 12, BPA Gold 15U 4
Prime 15U needed just five innings to continue dancing along at Champs Arizona with 10 runs coming in the second and third innings. Prime was led by shortstop Eternal Lee, who turned in a 2-for-3 day at the dish with a pair of singles and three RBIs. Outfielders Asher Harkness and Josiah Lopez each recorded two RBIs themselves as Prime cruised to a 12-4 run-rule shortened win.
Grind National 2029 6, Trombly Tribe 4
Six runs through three innings proved to be all the offense Grind National needed in a 6-4 win over Trombly Tribe in the round of 32. Alfredo Magana and Gavin Ware got things going with back-to-back RBI doubles before coming around to score after an Iker Corona RBI single. The theme of doubles continued with Robert Reyna lacing a two-run double in the bottom of the fifth to put Grind up for good over the Tribe.
San Diego SHOW National 10, Flyin Hawaiian Baseball 5
San Diego SHOW National faced a 3-2 deficit in the third inning, and propelled forward in a five-run bottom half to stay alive in bracket play. Cane Tortorici helped fire up the offense thanks to an electric three hits, three runs scored, and three RBIs in today’s matchup, including a single and a run in San Diego’s huge inning. The work on the mound was split amongst four pitchers, with Diego Amavizca leading the way with three strikeouts in his 2.2 innings.
GBG National 9, CBA Victus San Diego 2029 1
After sitting at a 1-1 tie in the top of the third inning, GBG National locked in to outscore CBA Victus San Diego 8-0 the rest of the way. Isaac Hernandez and Macin Garciaparra produced efficient at bats, each going 3-for-4 at the plate. Garcia came across the plate himself twice, while also bringing his teammate home to add an RBI to his impressive performance. Nichola Segura threw a complete game for GBG, only allowing three hits and one run in six innings of work. His dominant performance added another six strikeouts to his tournament resume.
San Diego Ghost ‘29 7, Trosky National 15U 6
An extra-inning thriller for San Diego Ghost cinematically concluded in dramatic fashion on a wild pitch to score Jaggar Huff. An early 4-0 lead after the first inning gave San Diego Ghost a comfortable lead for three innings until Trosky National had a big fourth inning to tie things at 4-4. The 4-4 tie remained in place to send things to extras where Huff touched home to end it. In addition to the game winning run, Huff went 1-for-2 on the day with two walks. Ben Perez also had a clutch performance, mirroring Huff’s stats while going 1-for-2 with two walks and two runs scored. Leo Moya pitched 3.0 innings of heat with five strikeouts and only one hit allowed.
TB SoCal Evoshield 10, 5 STAR WEST 29 2
TB SoCal Evoshield walked away with the victory after only five innings thanks to a Dylan Hood RBI single to put the run rule in place. TB SoCal scored in four out of five innings of play, with Adyn Panganiban, Tyler Pham, and Hood with two hits respectively to lead the team. Samuel Pena displayed confidence in his complete game from the hill, allowing no runs through four innings and three strikeouts.
Franklin Scout Team / BTD 4, Stacked American 2 After falling behind in the second inning, an explosive three runs in the bottom of the third gave Franklin Scout Team / BTD the momentum to finish strong and secure the last win of the round of 32. Jacob Reyes led Franklin from the plate while going 2-for-3 with two RBI, and brought in the final run of the game to move onto the round of 16. Franklin’s pitching staff dealt seven total strikeouts, with six coming from Millard Tokura in his 5.2 innings of work to close out the first round of elimination play.

White Sox ACE 2029 3, Scottsdale Dirtbags Black 15U 2
All three of White Sox ACE’s runs were generated in the third inning. Solid pitching and defensive performances withstood Scottsdale Dirtbags Black 15U’s comeback efforts. Cylis Rainey pitched a solid performance across 4.2 innings, collecting seven strikeouts to give confidence to the White Sox offense. Terrell Hampton-Hall brought in the first run of the game on a sacrifice fly to score Abel Diaz and get the momentum flowing. Chase Watson immediately followed with a two-run single to round out scores for the White Sox in their narrow win.
Jason Kidd Select 14, NorCal U 2029 Cardinal 2
Jason Kidd Select got in-and-out of the round of 16 thanks to an explosive nine runs in the top of the fourth inning. Four players for JK Select tallied two hits each in the matchup, who similarly all brought in a respective two runs as well. Cruz McBride pitched a complete game for JK Select to keep arms fresh as the weekend progresses. Six of the twelve outs for the team came from McBride on the mound, and he allowed only three hits during his outing.
Seattle Select 15U 13, MTBA Dawgs 2029 1
A day of dominance and run-rule victories continued for Seattle Select in the round of 16. At least two runs scored in each inning helped Seattle end the game after only four innings. Vinnie Guerra had an all-star performance to lead his team in runs scored (2), hits (2), and RBIs (5). Drey Lopez tied Guerra with two hits, including a solo home run in the second inning. Ivan Ortiz only let one run across the plate in four complete innings as Seattle rolled into the quarters.
MoJo Ghost National 15U 10, ZT Prospects Columbia 2
Six runs in the bottom of the fifth officially punched MoJo Ghost National 15U’s ticket to the quarterfinals. Reid Wooden held it down on the mound in a complete 5.0 innings. Wyatt Smith, Alan Palma, and Brody Cook each ripped two hits at the plate, and Smith led with three runs scored throughout the five innings of play as MoJo moved onto Sunday.
Prime 10, San Diego Ghost ‘29 5
An early 9-2 lead after three innings set the tone for Prime to finish the day strong and earn a coveted spot in the quarterfinals. All eight hits for Prime were split amongst eight players, each also scoring once to make up eight of the ten total runs. The work on the mound was split amongst three pitchers, with a dominant nine strikeouts in 5.2 innings for Noah Gonzales.
Franklin Scout Team / BTD 2029 9, San Diego SHOW National 15U 0
A huge second inning for Franklin Scout Team / BTD included seven runs on six hits to put them in the driver's seat early and often. Landon Semtelli headlined the offensive barrage with three hits in three at-bats while driving in an additional two runs. Pitchers Dario Laurinitis and Benjamin Mills teamed up to twirl a shutout across their five innings of work before the run rule was set in place to help advance Franklin to Sunday’s quarterfinals.
TB SoCal Evoshield 3, Grind National 2029 0
A low scoring affair between TB SoCal Evoshield and Grind National resulted in TB SoCal finding just enough offensive output to keep their championship dreams alive and well. Despite going hitless, David Goerlich managed to record two RBIs – one via sacrifice fly and the other coming on a groundout. Manufacturing runs the hard way is often the key to wins, and in this case proved to be the difference as Grind National was unable to apply any pressure as TB SoCal triumphed in a gritty effort from both sides.
GBG National 22, Team Kado / Bellinger 2
It took just three innings for GBG National to move past Team Kado / Bellinger in a 22-2 walloping to close out the round of 16. GBG National piled up an eye-popping 17 runs in the first inning, exploding for 14 hits in the frame. Third baseman Michael Bergin was one of two GBG players to record three hits, as he went 3-for-3 with a double and a team-leading five RBIs. Eight different batters turned in a multi-hit effort, while pitchers Ian Denny and Jack Winans worked 3.0 clean innings to put an exclamation mark on GBG National’s statement win.
