Team USA Announces Roster for 2026 World Baseball Classic

Captain Aaron Judge highlights roster with 65 combined All-Star selections and 15 USA Baseball alumni

SECAUCUS, N.J. – USA Baseball today announced its roster for the 2026 World Baseball Classic. The roster announcement was part of a special 90-minute MLB Tonight program on MLB Network, where all 20 rosters were exclusively revealed.

“We constructed this roster with one goal in mind: to bring home a WBC Championship for the U.S. fans,” said Team USA General Manager Michael Hill. “I would like to thank the Major League Clubs for trusting us with this incredible group of talented players.”

“Building this team was never easy, but it was done with purpose and pride,” said Team USA Manager Mark DeRosa. “These players know what it means to wear USA across their chest, and we’re ready to go to work and bring the World Baseball Classic trophy back home.”

“This roster is a collection of the best baseball players that our country has to offer,” said USA Baseball Executive Director/CEO Paul Seiler. “Michael, Mark, and our entire delegation worked diligently and tirelessly to put together the best possible team to represent the United States in the World Baseball Classic. We are extremely excited to welcome 15 USA Baseball alumni back to Team USA and look forward to watching this team suit up in the red, white, and blue in March in pursuit of a World Baseball Classic title.”

Team USA’s roster, which features 30 players combining for 65 All-Star Game selections, is highlighted by team captain and three-time American League MVP Aaron Judge, alongside both 2025 Cy Young Award winners, Paul Skenes and Tarik Skubal.

Four players on the roster have won at least one MVP award. Judge (2022, 2024, 2025 AL MVP) is joined by Bryce Harper as a multi-time MVP, as Harper took home the award in 2015 and 2021. In addition to Harper and Judge, Paul Goldschmidt (2022 NL MVP) and Clayton Kershaw (2014 NL MVP) also bring MVP seasons to the roster.

The 2026 roster also features 10 players who earned spots on the 2025 All-MLB First and Second Teams. Judge, Cal Raleigh, Skenes, Skubal, and Bobby Witt Jr. all appeared on the First Team, while Corbin Carroll, Pete Crow-Armstrong, Kyle Schwarber, Will Smith, and Brice Turang will play for Team USA after making the Second Team in 2025.

Additionally, 15 Team USA alumni will return to the stars and stripes in 2026, including five returners from the 2023 World Baseball Classic: David Bednar, Goldschmidt, Schwarber, Smith, and Witt Jr. Goldschmidt will become the first player in USA Baseball history to play in three different World Baseball Classics, reuniting with five-time U.S. alum Alex Bregman from the 2017 Classic roster.

Three players from the 2018 18U National Team will suit up together again for Team USA, as Carroll, Crow-Armstrong, and Witt Jr. all helped the U.S. win a gold medal at the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) U-18 Baseball World Cup Americas Qualifier in 2018. Crow-Armstrong, a four-time USA Baseball alum, also reunites with 2019 18U National Team teammate Nolan McLean and 2014 12U National Team teammate Skenes.

In total, the roster combines for 22 Silver Slugger Awards, 22 All-Stars, 13 Rawlings Gold Glove Awards, six Cy Young Awards, and five Rookies of the Year. Seven players on the roster have won at least one gold medal for the U.S. in international competition, combining for 12 total. Bregman, who has won four gold medals in the Team USA uniform, leads all alumni in that category.

Led by General Manager Michael Hill and Manager Mark DeRosa, Team USA is looking for its second gold medal in World Baseball Classic history. The U.S. won the title in 2017 with an 8-0 victory over Puerto Rico at Dodger Stadium, and most recently captured a silver medal in the 2023 tournament. DeRosa is joined on staff by an accomplished group of coaches, including Andy Pettitte (pitching coach), Sean Casey and Matt Holliday (hitting coaches), Dino Ebel (third base coach), George Lombard (first base coach), David Ross (bullpen coach), and Fredi González, Brian McCann, and Michael Young (assistant managers).

The 2026 World Baseball Classic will be held from March 5-17 at four venues across the globe, including San Juan, Puerto Rico (Pool A); Houston, Texas (Pool B); Tokyo, Japan (Pool C); and Miami, Florida (Pool D). Team USA will compete in Pool B from March 6-10 at Daikin Park in Houston, Texas, and the semifinal and championship rounds will be held at loanDepot Park in Miami, Florida.

After a pair of exhibition contests in Scottsdale on March 3 and 4, Team USA begins pool play at the World Baseball Classic on March 6 against Brazil at 7:00 p.m. CT/8:00 p.m. ET. The U.S. then takes on Great Britain on March 7 (7:00 p.m. CT/8:00 p.m. ET), Mexico on March 9 (7:00 p.m. CT/8:00 p.m. ET), and Italy on March 10 (8:00 p.m. CT/9:00 p.m. ET). All pool play games will be at Daikin Park and televised live on Fox Media.
